I feel like I'm the only artist out there who doesn't keep their art in nice neat labeled folders. My art is kind of everywhere. I've been trying to organize everything, but even when I do I stop caring after a while. Do you guys like to keep your art organized? Do you title them in some way to help you remember the date or why you drew it? Most of my silly doodles are just keyboard smashes if I'm going to be completely honest. If it's a commission or market request I usually put the username of the person I'm giving it to as the title. And my commissions are the only art pieces I make sure to keep in a separate folder.
I just throw all of my art into one folder. Takes me a while to find stuff, and I know I should keep it organized, but I'm too lazy to go through and sort it out.
I keep all of my art in one folder, but I do label them to help me find what I'm looking for. I usually just call them the name of whatever it is that I drew.
I have two main folders in my computer, one for school and one for personal stuff. I usually put my artwork in my personal folder, as I don’t have any subfolders for art. If it’s for school, I put it in my school folder.
My most of art is scattered all around in a folder of my name and graphics in photoshop folder which also have c4d and other stuff so it gets hard to find. And art I am working on or have started but haven't completed yet goes on desktop. Since I am not very good in digital art and is still a beginner some pieces which I think are not good are in the folder which is filled with random stories and poem written by me, wallpapers and random renders XD
I have 4 folders just for my art Pencil art/sketches are in one folder digital art/sketches in another Sprite art (be it recolors or from scratch) go in one folder animation frames all go into another Finally photos of my actual physical art- sewing, clay, physical paintings- are in another
I like to keep my psd files all neat so I can find them. Years ago I didn't and it was hectic to try find files. I keep them all on drop box so I can access them where needed but I also have them on my laptop and I sometimes remember to update my external hard drive with them too. This is my current set up: "Sketches" is then broken down further into "active" and "not active" and the active sketches are sketches that are currently being worked on or will be worked on soon. "Super Old" are my old files that have no organisation. I don't go in that file very often. It scares me.
I just put everything in a folder and put the name of the Pokémon as the title. My folder is going to be pretty full
