    Nuzlocke Challenge

Journey through the world to discover the wonders of the arcane and technological marvels. But like with all journeys there's always a risk of something looming around the corner.

    Rules and How to Enter:

    - Emulators are allowed
    - Catch the first pokémon you encounter on each route, if it faints you lose your encounter for that route
    - Dupe clause is on, if you encounter a line you've already caught you get 3 attempts at finding a pokémon from a line you haven't caught yet, if you don't find one within 3 attempts you lose your encounter for that route
    - If a pokémon faints in battle it is considered dead and must be released or boxed for the duration of the run
    - Battle style is set, for games that do not have this option say no whenever asked if you want to switch out
    - Items in battle are allowed
    - Everyone on your team have to play a different game

To qualify for the rewards you must record the following points below. You're welcome to do a little creative writing if you feel like it and even add pictures, but the following points below must be written clearly in your journal.

    - Obtaining your starter (post a picture of your obtained starter as bare minimum for participation points)
    - Catching a pokémon
    - The death of a pokémon
    - Battling your rival
    - Gym battles and obtaining a badge
    - Dealing with the evil team
    - Battling the elite four
    - Battling the champion

If you fail a run and wanna try again, just edit in a new participant form below your old one, you're also free to change game for the new run, just be sure to check if one of your teammates isn't playing it first.

    Prizes and Deadlines:

Prizes are based on how far you get in the run, if you have multiple runs the one you got the furthest in will be the one you get awarded points for. These points are total and not accumulative.
For games like Sun/Moon and Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon that do not have the traditional gym system, the totem pokémon and the island captains will serve as the badges.

    Badge 1 = 10
    Badge 2 = 20
    Badge 3 = 30
    Badge 4 = 40
    Badge 5 = 50
    Badge 6 = 60
    Badge 7 = 70
    Badge 8 = 80
    Hall of Fame = 100

Each member that submits a valid journal will also net their team 10 scramble points as a bonus.
The deadline for submitting your journal is August 2nd 11:59pm EST

Before deciding on what to play, I have some questions:
    • For Alola-based games, which trials serve as the badge checkpoints?
    • For Paldea-based games, what counts as a new area for catching purposes?
    • For games with DLCs, are the DLCs included? Or is the base game enough?

I will say we'll the final totem of each island, and then the captain battle as the check points. You will still have to write down encounters with other totems since they are still considered major boss battles.
You can use the following list if you want for Paldea encounters.
    Poco Path
    Inlet Grotto
    South Province (Area One)
    South Province (Area Two)
    South Province (Area Three)
    South Province (Area Four)
    South Province (Area Five)
    South Province (Area Six)
    East Province (Area One)
    East Province (Area Two)
    East Province (Area Three)
    West Province (Area One)
    West Province (Area Two)
    West Province (Area Three)
    North Province (Area One)
    North Province (Area Two)
    North Province (Area Three)
    Asado Desert
    Tagtree Thicket
    Dalizapa Passage
    Glaseado Mountain
    Alfornada Cavern
    Casseroya Lake
    Area Zero
Base game is fine, but nothing forbids you from using the DLC for some extra mons if you really want to it'll just be extra fluff in your journey as DLC areas give no points.
