    Well do you?

About Canada, I'm ambivalent. Our PM is cool but that's about it. Many native reservations still suffer from dirty water and lack of infrastructure, neglected years by Harper. Racism is still rampant and in my opinion our healthcare sucks. (You'll wait like 7 hours in emergency room)
Our SSI is decent, but in my opinion could be better.

I live in the United States, like I'm sure a lot of people do here, and I definitely have my own fair share of problems with it. The government keeps climbing into debt and doing stupid things that they think will help but don't, the people here suck for the most part, and the social issues are annoying because people are stupid and don't understand things (not every single police officer is racist, thank you).

However, this is America we're talking about here and while I'm a resident (and now a citizen) of the United States, you bet I love it. The US is still the pinnacle of freedom in the world, and quite frankly, probably still one of the best countries to live in (Switzerland FTW). Despite all of the social issues, I know people just want to achieve perfection and while they suck at it, they try, which is all that I can ask for. We are such a diverse nation and for the most part we respect people for their race and gender (religion is a little iffy these days though). Although I threaten to move to Canada when the government does something that I don't approve of, I won't ever leave because of something like that. Despite its flaws... 'Merica.

Also, enjoy the modern national anthem while you're here:

Despite how everyone loves to complain... (myself included) The United States really is a great place to live. The quality of life, the fact that your life is not constantly threatened, there's so much taken for granted that shouldn't be. So I really shouldn't be complaining even when I do, not many places beat it.

As I'm not a political person, I have no idea what the government is doing, and I don't really care.
I kind of like my country. There's a lot of natural beauty, and the people here are kind of nice most of the time. But for some reason I'm ashamed of living here.
Doesn't really help much that this is a very inconvenient place for a gamer to live >.>

I live in the US. I love the country (I'm somewhat patriotic :P), but, like all people, I have many problems with the government/people. I still think it's the greatest country on earth, though. To Canadians, if it makes you feel better, some patients have to wait hours before being admitted to the ER here, too.

I don't know, the place is run by lying lunatics who care for nothing but their own self-satisfaction, everywhere there are constant problems which the government is unable to solve. If only the people (who hold some kind of political power) themselves cleaned up their act I think the whole country would be a much better place.

Honestly what I really love is poking fun at patriots of other countries, especially Americans lol. I don't think anything good comes from loving your country, because it can lead to xenophobia or in the worst case even war. There's no upsides to loving something as abstract as a country, but oh well, it's cool as long as you respect and accept other countries and cultures as well. The only time I really feel like a true Dutchman is when watching a game of the national football team. Then I WILL go all out and dress up in orange from head to toe, sing the national anthem at the top of my lungs and wave the Dutch flag. NL is actually a ridiculous country. So little happens here, that when a children's TV show gets rescheduled to an earlier, the Dutch prime minister will seriously comment on it the same day on TV.

I think there was something about baby ducks in the news here once. Wasn't anything interesting or special, just something about a domestic duck raising its children or something.

And every spring here, the news focus on sheep a bit.

OK, maybe I like this country a little bit. It's just so beautiful in the spring......

i'm kinda a mixed bag with scotland. i really like it on one hand, but on the other i'm kind of meh about it.

on the plus side, there's a lot of places i like. seaside towns with plenty of food and stuff. and there's some nice little villages and stuff, one quite near where i live. also, there's lots of food and stuff like that that's apparently not common in other places, like black pudding, haggis (no, it is not a real animal), and irn-bru (aka the best drink you ever did see). but on the other hand, i feel like the kinda stuff i like is almost unknown to a lot of people here, and most of them just like football (or soccer as you americans and stuff would say) and crap like that, really, i do feel like people like me barely exist here, looking at how most of my friends live in america. additionally, it's a pretty rough place, and i feel like almost everyone is an asshole here.

    so yeah.

I live in America, and I'm...not too happy. I have a multitude of reasons, but, let me sum it up in a few words.

    Donald Trump could be president.

    I rest my case.

I'm an American and I'm honestly so glad. Being an American is such a amazing place to live in. There are so many different cultures around, and a whole lot of people. Sure the US has its fair share of problems, but I would consider myself lucky. I get to live in a country that gives an opportunity to rise up in the ranks to make a living for myself.

Wow, what can I say? I live in the most liveable city in the world (Melbourne) in what is ranked as the second best country in the world by quality of life (after Norway). That's right, I come from Australia. The landscape is beautiful around the city where I live, there's beautiful green hills, lush forests, farmland, and a couple of hours drive to the north-east, mountains that receive snow for much of the year. The government has been a little turbulent lately though... We've been through 4 different prime ministers in the past couple of years because their own political parties keep shoving them off the throne and replacing them with yet another crap prime minister. I wish we could go back to the days where we had the liberal party with John Howard as prime minister, his government made Australia completely debt free, but then the Labor party came along and spent all the surplus on stuff we didn't need (like more jet fighters) and got us into debt again, still, I can safely say we're much better economically than the U.S, plus, our welfare system is way better. Racism does occur sometimes, but mostly because of uncivilised bogans that can't stand any 'non-aussies' living in their country. And Cobalt, I really hope Donald Trump doesn't get the presidency ):

It's kinda boring where I live although I do like the peacefullness sometimes. But as a whole I'd say the Netherlands is a great country. A lot of things get accepted very easily here, so there's a lot of different types of people that can just be theirselves. That on top of the not that extreme weather definitely makes it a good place to live xD

Not a big fan of Australia. Too much racism, homophobia.
    The landscape-environment is swell though.

Also being of a multi ethnic background.
I cop the first part of what I said a lot.

Oz is for the most parts. A more upsides, than downside place to live.
I would love to visit countries of my heritage too one day.

Thailand and Norway I am looking at you!
