I feel like I'm the only one who still listens to radio broadcasts for music from time to time. ;_; I just like having background sound play usually, I don't really need to rock out to streaming things like Pandora. I also like listening to baseball games when they're on
>radio These days its hooking up your phone to your car's bluetooth and blasting inappropriate music very loudly as you drive down a street with the windows open
You darn kids and your fancy music streaming apps. Back in my day we listened to 80s rock with commercials in between and we LIKED it. :U
I used to listen to it when I went on drives with my mum, but since the music the local station was playing gradually got worse we decided to listen to cds or stream music instead. That was about 3 years ago. Haven't tuned into that radio station since, and quite frankly I don't want to. I hated the top 40/EDM/rap trash it played and I can't imagine it's gotten any better :/
Yaaah, I'm really glad I still have a station back home that's entirely dedicated to 80s music. ^^ Makes me happy.
That's so cool! We do have a station that plays older music from the 70s, 80s and 90s, but the audio quality is horrendous. It kinda sucks :/
Yaaaah, and they pick the GOOD stuff too Bon Jovi, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, etc. Actually the only station I listen to when I go back home from uni XD
I don’t drive :v Though when my dad does, he usually puts the music he has downloaded on his phone (I think he has thousands of tracks) or he puts "Radio Paradise" because there are no ads. My mom does listen to the radio, but it’s the channels about classical music or jazz and often people discussing.
Music? On the radio? For that you need to actually like the music that's popular, past or present. I admit I like probably 10-20% of the music on any given radio station of any genre, but I want to enjoy 80-90% of what I listen to, so I don't voluntarily listen to music radio at all. Driving in silence is also miserable, so I have three things I do, in this order or availability: 1: listen to downloaded podcasts so I can learn while I drive. 2: listen to the local NPR station (the one closest to me doesn't get any signal until I drive 10 miles closer to the city). 3: listen to a few CDs I keep in my car, mainly Scandinavian Death Metal (which doesn't often get broadcast in non-Scandinavia) when I'm drowsy and need something to help keep me awake. I only really go outside of those options if I'm driving my mom somewhere. Anyone else I'll make put up with Viking Music whether they like it or not.
I get sick of the radio really easy because they basically play the same 5 songs all day. And the local radio presenters are quite annoying. So I stick to spotify playlists. I don't have access to a fancy car with the ability to play spotify through the speakers so I have a little portable speaker haha.
Mm, no. I’ll never turn the radio on. My mom does and it really annoys me because I don’t 90% of music that’s played. I don’t even use Pandora either becuase tbh I like to choose what I listen to, instead of getting something random.
I actually have CDs in my car that I listen to. As much as I love listening to the radio, I dislike a lot of the more popular music that they tend to repeat.
Yes I do listen to the radio while driving. While I prefer having Satelite Radio, I don't have it in my car.
I love listening to the radio when in the car, though my level of love varies depending on who is driving. My dad listens to radio news and podcasts, my sister listens to classical, my mom listens to current pop music, and I like our showtunes channel. I just need something to listen to, otherwise the car ride is so boring.
I personally don't like to use the radio because I don't like it when the same song pops up every hour. However, if I'm on a roadtrip and don't want to waste my phone battery, I'll blast the radio all day.
