I put passwords on my laptop and phone for security reasons. My immediate family members know my laptop's password though, but the password is designed to keep non-family members out without prior permission. Better safe than sorry.

My desktop, laptop, and phone all have password access. I don't know how I'd get by without it. Somehow, I'm just very, uh, what's the word. Not secretive or private, but I want to know I'm the only one accessing my stuff, or if anyone else does, I want to be present for it. I don't know if there's a word for it.

I lock my computer if I step away from it for a bathroom break even. I can push Window-Right-Right-Up-Up-Enter in less than a second because I'm so used to instinctively locking my stuff.

Only my laptop. I don't dare do it on my phone because I'm afraid that one of little siblings will find the phone and press emergency call trying to get in.

I use passwords for pretty much everything. I like my things private, so others don't see. Although I do have a reoccurring fear of forgetting passwords. o-o

I have passwords on my phone, iPod and laptop. I'm a big fan of privacy and I know that in the past my family members have snooped though my things. Now I'm paranoid as heck >.>

When faced with this question, the initial reaction I have is this:

"You mean there are people who don't?"

As theft and compromise are always possibilities with electronic devices (rare, but possible), the precaution of placing an extra layer of protection is usually rather useful, or at times, even necessary. If we password-protect our numerous accounts, why would we not also password-protect the devices we use to access them?

To answer your original question, with less words: Yes, I do.

    Always and forever.
Ever since I was about 8 years old I've password protected all my things.
Even my Xbox account at one point (button sequence protection), but that got old very quickly.
It gives me a strong sense of security and eases my mind as opposed to leaving things such as my phone unprotected, even if I'm home alone.

I put a password on my PC since I started to get more "experimental" with my drawings >.>' shhh
But my family respects privacy and has never tried to get into my PC or Phone, they never even come into my room when i'm not there unless they need to look at the heating or something.
