Do you play on Easy, Normal or Hard?

Easy. 8D Because I'm a failure at video games and suck too much. Only game I could probably handle a hard mode in is Pokémon. Weh!

 

Usually normal, I don't usually want to complicate anything or make it too easy to beat. Normal is the way to go for me!

 

If it's my first time, I'll play on easy to learn, but I generally go for normal level eventually. I can't do hard though

 

I like to do Easy so I can feel successful haha. On occasion I'll play Normal though, if I know the game well enough or if I'm feeling daring.

 

Depends on the game, but 80% of the time I'll start on Normal, then continue to replay the game on harder difficulties. I like a challenge, they feel rewarding once you beat them.

 

I will start on Easy to learn the ropes, then work my way up to Normal, and if I'm feeling brave, I'll tackle Hard.

 

Whatever I can handle. I need it to be a challenge or its not so fun, but not impossible or obviously you don't get to experience any of the game. I love challenging myself though

 

Touhou games have another difficulty, Lunatic, and I'll play that after clearing the game on Normal or Hard.

 

I go with Normal or easy during the first playthrough of a game, but if it's a game I've played before, Hard or Unknown is my first and only option.

 

Admittedly, Easy mode is what I use most because I'm lame okay. If there's difficulty related trophies involved, I more than likely will start a new campaign on a harder setting, and probably beat myself afterwords. I do like a challenge now and again, don't get me wrong, but unless you get some kind of achievement or bonus stuff for putting yourself through hell, it's the easiest mode for me.

 

I just play casually, so usually I play on Easy

 

Most of the time, I will just choose easy mode. However, in certain games like Fire Emblem Awakening, I will play in Hard mode or sometimes even harder modes than that (there are 3 hard modes to put that in perspective).

 

I'll play through it on Easy, but if I get really good at it or it's too easy, I'll change the difficulty

 

As a general rule, I always play on Normal my first time through a game, then I will maybe later go back (depending on how good the game is) and play it on the harder setting(s). In most games these days, even the "hard" setting is still too easy. Just my opinion.

 

I start normal in the most of games I have, then I reset hard, but there are some exceptions where I immediately go hard (like Kingdom Hearts or Mass Effect). I agree with @[member="Nator"] on this point, I found many games hard mode normal.

 

It's gotten to a point for me that games on Normal mode are too easy. So now, whether I have experience or not with the game, I'll start on hard. Because I love challenges.

But even then, hard mode isn't a challenge.... sometimes.

Now rarely there will be games that I'm just no good at.
Most that fall under this category are computer games.
But put me behind an Xbox Controller and I'm unstoppable.

 

Normal and hard, that is how you play. I start normal, then i go to hard, i enjoy the challenges. Though i will say its quite loud when i do play hard ( Rage)

 

I tend to start out on normal. I'll trust the devs and take their word for it as a recommended difficulty. 9 games out of 10 though I'll redo on Hard or Impossible or whatever.

Except Deus Ex HR. I don't take the dev's word on that. Normal is easy except the final two boss fights (rather, the second to last and probably the final), in which normal is suddenly Impossible. Inconsistency.

Now, for a homemade hard mode, this is what I do: Turn off the Music and the Hud. I don't get tipped off to changing situations by a change in background music, and I have to count my own ammo/arrows/hp/magic etc. Dividing your attention makes it even harder like that.

 

Easy, and even then, I suck.
I'm just not good at video games. XD
