Which do you like better? I've always been more of a dog person myself, but cats are starting to look pretty cool.

I like cats better, by and large they are way less yappy, you don't need to worry about leaving them alone as long as they have food and water, and they don't eat their own feces like dogs sometimes do.

Cats...it's not that they necessarily make better pets; dogs are more "useful" to humans. Dogs may be better PETS, but cats are better ANIMALS.
I respect the beauty and independence of cats more. I find them more admirable than dogs as they have a more wild aura about them.

I own two cats and they are amazing pets; I personally wouldn't want a dog but I understand many people find them more friendly and fun to play with.

Dogs without a doubt. I like cats well enough but dogs are much more fun. They actually want to play with you and I feel that they care more about their family than cats do.

I like both actually, although I only have dogs at the moment. There is a neighbor's cat that my family has kind of "adopted", she's really cute and lovable. Dogs are the more sociable animals with cats enjoying their own solitude more and having a greater free will. Either way, both are great companions.

I'll have to say dogs. I really like them because of how playful they are. I always have this expectation that cats will be friendly with me and want to play with my like my dog will, but it is always crushed since my friends' cats always run away from me instead.
Plus, the amount of times my dog has cheered me up is countless. Whenever I'm pissed off or sad, my dog is always there to just let me stroke her and I feel calmer.

I am mostly a dog because they are more playful unlike my lazy cat.

Dogs. They can actually do stuff, especially the larger ones are a ton of fun.

Dogs all the way! Cats are pretty cool, but dogs actually want to play with you, and you can teach them proper tricks. I've always been more of a dog-person.

I like both. Dogs listen better sometimes but they take a bit more work. My cats (I own two) are very friendly and loving and they love to play. Although when I throw their ball, they are more content with gnawing on it then bringing it back to me.

For my entire life I would switch from dogs to cats. But I've recently just started liking both since I couldn't ever chose just one.

Out of the two popular pets, I am a Cat Lover, they love being the center of attention. My mom has 4 cats and they are always active unless they sleep. I really hate dogs, my grandma has a chihuahua it seems to just bark for no reason at all at random times.

I like both cats and dogs..but I prefer cats the best. I have 3 cats and 3 dogs though. The dogs love my mom and my sister best but my cats love me best.

Cats, because I grew up with them and they are just easier to train, only takes about a week to get a cat to know how to keep from damaging furniture, dogs, not so sure, since I heard it can take about a month to train them, but even if dogs are easy to train I still like my adorable feline balls of fur better.

I prefer cats. Dogs just... They always have this dumb look on their face... (okay, not entirely true, there are some really badass dogs)

Dogs, they are more playful (like they actually go outside lol) and I've never really cared for cats.

I'm a dog person so had to vote dog. I do like cats too though. Dogs just got this happy cheerful personality most of the time and I just love their loyalty.

Cats all the way. They're so cute and playful! And they live to sleep and eat, which is my kind of animal.

I've always been that person who owns one thing but likes the alternative. Case in point; my family has owned a total of four dogs (two have since died) and I'd trade them all away in the morning for a cat. Cats seem so much better.
