It's definitely a possibility. I don't see why not. Maybe they'll just have you download the sequel onto the actual game, and you can use two different save files for it.

 

I believe it is possible and I believe its a good thing. They could give out event Pokémon this way instead of having people search in the code for them.

 

Yes, I think it's possible for Nintendo to add DLC to X and Y. They might make it so, DLC might let you go to new places with a storyline, plot and new Pokémon. Or it may be DLC will let you go to older region like Unova or Kanto. The DLC could be a good thing if it's cheap, but not if it's not cheap.

 

I like the idea of being able to access older regions using DLC. It'd be fun to go back into the older regions.
I also agree with the last thing you said. Whether or not the downloadable play is good or not will be based mostly on price.

 

I don't know about it. I think DLC would just feel wrong with Pokémon and the mystery dungeon game was fairly cruddy, maybe Game Freak realised before they released it so there was extra stuff to make it not cruddy.

 

I think there might be like DLC clothing or something. That would be cool.

 

I heard something in a YouTube video about it. They thought it would be cool if there was a downloadable battle system since they've shown to be a bit crappy since the end of the Battle Frontier. I guess it makes sense. I'd rather pay a couple bucks to have a nice battle system that works well then not pay anything and have a repeat of that stupid subway.

 

I'm not too sure I like this DLC thing since money isn't really something I can dish out so easily. But since it IS optional, they better make it so that you can still enjoy the main game without the DLC.

 

While the idea of DLC seems exciting, I really hope they don't have them at all. I don't have the money for these kinds of things and if they do have DLC, I hope they aren't anything that's too important to miss like a post-game storyline or something.

 

I definitely agree with this. I think the DLC would be cool, but you should be able to enjoy the game without it.

 

I would actually like it. It would be pretty cool if they had clothing that represented other Nintendo characters, like Ness or Pokémon Trainer Red. Oh, and special places where you can find Pokémon you could only find after you complete the game. That would be nice imo ouo.

 

Yeah. That would give you a lot more to do after completing the game... Right now Pokémon games don't really have all that much.
Either way, I'm sure they'll probably work the DLC into the game in some way, and I hope you can still enjoy the game without it.

 

i think DLC would be good and bad... theyd make the game less so you have to buy more.

 

I think a nice addition would be community-made DLC, such as custom clothes, sound or music tracks, Pokeballs, and events. Valve has a huge fan base of creative people, and introducing their creations into the official game would greatly increase the experience. There was even a whole community-made update for TF2!
They might have to create a whole new system for that, though. However, I think the Global Link site would serve this function, and it wouldn't even require any payment. Much like the Valve Workshop.

 

DLC's in Pokémon? *Starts to crack up* Really? I would like to see how this turns out!

 

I do think this would be a great feature, but I think GF may leave it out to avoid any kind of legal trouble with Valve. I don't think Valve has ever patented the function of Steam Workshop, maybe only the name. Nintendo is a colossal company though, so I think it would be that Valve wouldn't want to start anything.

 

It would bother me if DLC were to be released immediately to be honest. DLC is supposed to help make the game better after finding a flaw in it, or to add to the end of the story. If the DLC and the game are released on the same day then it makes it horribly clear that they're just trying to make a few extra bucks.
