    So, in the LV Region Creation thread, an update came out earlier stating that this project had its own subforum now for people to make threads for things like this. I myself want to stick to the main threads if at all possible, like if there were a thread for submitting and getting feedback on Fakemon for this then I'd just post there. Note that a lot of these may be lacking pre evolutions or evolutions that I could give them if needed.

    The Ideas I Want MOST -

    (Chesrunt -> Chesrough -> Castarupt || Grass -> Grass -> Grass/Fire)
    This is probably #1 on my list of priorities. A huge reason why I made these was specifically for this project, among other things. Anyways, I think a roasted chestnut family would be pretty good for here. Chestnut trees are critically endangered, and their biggest surviving group happens to be in Wisconsin around the Great Lakes, as well as roasted chestnuts apparently being pretty big in New York. Some people really seem to like it when fangames introduce unused types and this fits that bill as well.

    Additionally, a common trend in the mainline Pokémon games is that every generation has debatably introduced a new feminine plant Pokémon. Gen 1 is the only exception, but even then you can stretch it and say that Tangela may be based on Medusa. Other than that though, we have Bellossom, Roselia, Roserade, Lilligant, Florges, Tsareena, and Eldegoss. This design just does so many cool things for this project, and I hope my effort in that shows.

    upload_2020-12-8_22-35-45.png
    (Appepillar -> Faminoth -> Mortemoth || Bug -> Bug/Flying -> Bug/Ghost)

    A pretty fun line of mine that I made last year for Oktoberfest's Createmon based on the Luna Moth, which happens to live in this general area as well. Not as big of a priority, but this one originated for a contest on LV, and it fits the region pretty well while also saving us the need to come up with a regional bug. I think this would be more akin to something like Vikavolt or Orbeetle where the earlier forms are somewhat competent but you don't get the final stage immediately because of how broken a particularly early-game Ghost would be. The original concept had this Pokémon evolve at 12 and then again at 14 to imply that "Faminoth doesn't last long" in the most child-friendly way possible, so maybe we could shift it up to 18 and then 20. I dunno.

    upload_2020-12-8_23-33-22.png
    (Unnamed -> Annelait || Ground -> Ground)

    Do the types surprise you? Maybe I'd change them to Water/Ground because you might expect these to be Water at first glance, but these aren't Pokémon I'd expect to want to live in the water as opposed to being dragged there unwillingly. Maybe that's just me. I mentioned the importance of fishing already and a subtle, easy way to do that could be adding Pokémon like these.

    The Ideas I Want SOMEWHAT -

    upload_2020-12-8_23-0-8.png
    (Baloon || Fairy/Flying)

    This is purely because this Pokémon is one of my favorites I've ever designed but if we need a pixie then this could fit that. Not something we need but something we could have regardless, and even if we decide we don't need one, this could just be its own one-off dex filler. It might just be my personal love for this thing but I dunno.

    upload_2020-12-8_23-17-30.png
    (Chemiclysm || Poison/Steel)

    The third and currently final Pokémon I made for an LV Createmon that could fit because of how industrial some of the areas around the lakes are. Cities are known for being populated with chemical plants and other bad things for the environment, I guess. Trubbish fits into cities nicely, so I could see this doing something similar, but this doesn't have any huge theming to the region. But that's a VERY loose connection.

    upload_2020-12-9_0-34-57.png
    (Spirox || Steel/Ghost)

    Old and awful sprite, but this Pokémon is my favorite of any that I've designed. Maybe you people will like it too.

    upload_2020-12-9_0-32-11.png
    (Yeastic -> Scorpita -> Arachwich || Grass/Ground -> Grass/Ground -> Grass/Ground)

    idk i just felt like posting these, scorpions don't appear here but subs do i guess

    upload_2020-12-9_0-42-27.png
    (Fusnake -> Flarepent -> Draxplosion || Fire -> Fire -> Fire/Dragon)

    Another one that I just feel like would be cool here, although this one is much more linked to China. Originally meant to be a starter but this could easily pass as a pseudo or just a regular ol' dragon akin to Flygon. None of these sprites are finished; the first two need shrunk and the last one needs textured on the fire bits.

    upload_2020-12-9_0-46-18.png
    (Blastorch || Fire/Rock)

    I could probably make this into a pretty cool generic cave Pokémon with a prevo and an evo like what Roggenrola is. Big point against it is Rolycoly for its identical typing and similar origin, but I personally don't like that line and feel it could have been done better. This might stand out on its own, though.

    I may post more if many or all of these get good reception, but these are the ones I feel would fit the best or would want in the most. I also will likely custom-make more Fakemon for this, and if so I'll post those in this thread or something.

    upload_2020-12-9_1-0-51.png

    I proclaim that we must add Hyperoach because there are two football teams in New York

    All these seem super cool! I love the Chesrunt line in particular. My only issue would be its overlapping with Chespin...? But we can pretend the latter doesn't exist.

    Thanks for the compliments! The worm on the string bit was fully intentional, like had it not been for that then there wouldn't be some extra line coming off of the first stage's hook for example.

    As for the Chesrunt line, I noticed a lot of similarities between it and a few other Pokémon (Mareanie, Bounsweet, and Chespin lines mainly) and while I personally think it does enough to make itself distinct, especially as the family progresses later, it's definitely a valid criticism that might be a good point against it if enough people feel bothered by it.

    I really like the Chesrunt line, but I feel the names should be changed due to the similarity to Chespin line. They have similar designs plus the same prefix.

    I'm not really a fan of Appepillar, and Faminoth is just okay. But I absolutely LOVE Mortemoth's design. I think maybe if we tweak the other two we'd have a good Grubbin/Blipbug equivalent. Mainly Appepillar I think Faminoth is already fairly solid it just needs a few small changes. For one I'd like it to be flying. Specifically like Vibrava or Yanma.

    Something about Annelait and it's prevo just doesn't look right to me. The idea itself I like, but I don't know those designs look weird.

    Baloon is cool but I almost wonder if a regional Drifloon would be better. And even ignoring that, I think a different name would be better. I know names like that are nothing new for Pokémon, but still.

    Chemiclysm is fantastic. But I think it should look a bit more... liquidy? Like maybe a cross between Muk and Meltan? Idk but I still like the design regardless.

    Spirox is great but for some reason I think Fairy would fit better than Steel. Can't really explain to you why.

    I love the Yeastic line for the hilarious novelty of them, but other than that I'm not really sure about them. But I think that's enough not everything has to be awesome and deep. Sometimes a sandwich bug is nice. The typing is really hard for me though. Ground doesn't really fit imo, but just going with pure Grass or Grass/Bug does't seem to fit either.

    Fusnake line good. Fusnake itself needs a little work imo but you said you're not done with these sprites yet so I will wait.

    Blastorch. Hmmm. I like the design, but I feel like making it Fire/Rock and basing it off coal doesn't really work. I'd focus on the torch part of it, remove the Rock type, and give it something else. That way, it'll be different enough from the Rolycoly line. In terms of a line, the first evo could be just a floating torch, Blastorch (with possibly a different name and tweaked design) could be the second evo, and the third could maybe be something bipedal? I'm thinking like Barbaracle but with torches instead of pre-evos. Maybe Fire/Ground?

    Thanks for the responses! Gonna go over everything one-by-one, there's some good points here. Nothing will be changed until the weekend at the earliest.

    I'd say yes and would change them if I could think of much better, but as of right now I can't honestly. Castarupt I think is fine personally but I don't think any part of its name could apply to the first two because they are not on fire yet. I can keep this in my mind and change it if I come up with something better.

    Having it actually fly doesn't make much sense for the theming, it's supposed to be kind of weak as is. The idea is that it's starting to starve, so it doesn't really have the energy to fly or really do as much as its first form could. Unrelated but one thing I thought of with all of these is maybe giving the first two stages some ghostlier themes as well, so I might look into reworking the first stage altogether in the process.

    I think another friend said that they looked almost fleshy? I forgot about that honestly despite intending to change it. I may try giving them segments and a change into a more dirtlike color.

    Right, time to explain this one. Baloon was a Pokémon I made for a diff forum thread where the Pokémon are all randomly-generated, and the two things I could go off of for the design are it being a pure Fairy-type and it having the name. I kind of designed it really simplistically like I'd imagine they would have in an earlier generation, so I think the name fits it in that regard, but you could definitely say that none of this fits in as well with all of these other Pokémon that are going to be much more in line with newer gen stuff.

    Could be an easy fix, a texture change of this simplicity shouldn't take long. I agree so I'll get back to this on the weekend.

    My guess is that Fairy is sometimes associated with being mischevious and this Pokémon looks like a trickster, but it wasn't really designed around any fairy-ish stuff. Just a ghost in a metal box that noncoincidentally looks like a jack-in-the-box.

    but c'mon it's a sandwich

    This is a Pokémon thats difficult to type. I chose Grass because the vegetables that make up their insides and the wheat buns and Ground because of the stupid pun but I'm open to changing one of those out if more people think that Bug fits. I'll say that Bug/Grass really doesn't fit though for if a player were to see this for a first time and Bug/Ground doesn't really fit because I think Grass needs to be in there somewhere for aforementioned reasons. Maybe something weird like Normal/Grass even could work best? I dunno.

    I said that mostly because the first two are way too big and the third one lacks a fiery texture, should've specified. If you don't like something about the design itself though feel free to mention.

    If I were to emphasize the torch aspect and say that the coal bits just formed around him or something then Fire/Steel would be best. Similar to how Dhelmise is seaweed that happens to control an anchor, Blastorch could be a torch that happens to have coal stuck around his body, that body being made of a bronze-colored metal. I have a few ideas of how I'd go about making a prevo already but will consider this for a potential evo though.

    I'll likely post a few more mons here later though just for input. Probably won't fit as well as any of these but I dunno.

    EDIT: Messed up the post

    Water -> Water/Rock. The actual sock part is much harder, like rock, compared to the more fleshy fish part. A few other arts and crafts themes are thrown in there for this gar and sockeye salmon.

    Water/Rock seems like a really weird typing for this. I feel like Fairy or Ghost would work better for the puppet aspect. Water should be fine but maybe not pure water.

    Also, if they are based off finger/sock puppets, do we maybe want to add a whole in the back? Like under the tail? I only say this because I actually really like the idea of a sock puppet mon and want to lean more into that.

    Just going to throw out a bunch of vague ideas. If anyone wants to draw them go ahead because I can't.

    Idea 1: I think it would be cool to base the regional bird off of the Thunderbird. Electric/Flying-rype obviously. For its design, I'm imagining something like Talonflame, but an eagle and with a stormy vibe.

    Idea 2: Wolverine or badger mon. Probably Fighting/Ice. Because wolverines are mean and it's cold there.

    Idea 3: FIRE FOOTBALL GOAT! I've mentioned this a lot but should probably actually explain it again. Basically, a Fire/Steel-type goat that likes to headbutt things. Head and horns have a bit of a football helmet look. Possible Fire-type starter.

    Idea 4: Scrappy goose. A goose mon is kind of obvious for the region because of the Canada Goose native to it. Geese are infamously mean, so I'm thinking Water/Fighting. Possible Water-type starter.

    Idea 5: I want some sort of Electric/Fighting-type. I just like the combo. Whether this ends up being an entirely new mon or like a regional Lucario or something, idrc. I just like the typing.

    Idea 6: Wendigo mon. Probably Ice/Ghost. Might make a good hidden legendary. Like one that there's only a little lore about and you have to go find yourself.

    Just wanted to show that I am still working on this. I do want an ugly bald eagle, with an electric tongue, looking like it has recently been electrocuted.

    I used to play a game on facebook that had a unicorn sort of. So based on that i have a fakemon.

    First evolution a little pony, Fairy type.

    Then a Unicorn, just fairy type. Then we can have a branch evo:

    Max frienship evolving to a unicorn with wings: Fairy flying.
    OR
    Trade with Metal Coat to have a steel fairy. A robotic looking Unicorn.

    Threw this on the Discord and people liked it, so I'm throwing it here too.

    Bug/Steel-type spider mon with a heavy focus on webs. Its silk is made of metal fibers (a nod to how strong spider silk is irl), and it uses them to trap prey and foes, as well as protect itself.

    It takes some inspiration from Lycanroc in that it is built very differently from how mons of its type usually are. Instead of being a tank like most Steel-types, this one is made to be more focused on speed and status effects.

    I think this should also be a two-stage evolution family. First stage is a small spider boi that uses it's webs to defend itself and feeds on minerals. It's just pure Bug.

    I think Prankster would be a good ability for this mon. For the second slot maybe Pickpocket?

    Well damn we've forgotten this. I shall revive with my classic "can't draw so I just through ideas out for other people to draw".

    First off, I want to say that my wonderful football goat should be based off a bighorn sheep. I completely forgot that existed before, but now that I have relearned about it, that's pretty much exactly what I based this thing on. Now on to the new stuff!

    Idea 1: Some sort of crab mon. I started basing this on a stone crab, before realizing that they like warm waters in the Atlantic. That would've been part Rock. Aside from thay, I do like the idea of just a generic crab, or maybe a spider crab.

    Idea 1b: Branching off the crab thing, how about a hermit crab mon with multiple forms? Hermit crabs don't have a shell themselves, and so find empty shells to use instead, changing to bigger ones as thet grow. So, how about it has a different form based on what shell it's using? Sort of a mix of how Oricorio and Wormadam have different forms. Base form would probably be Water, with the other type changing with form.

    Idea 2: Grass lion. I think I mentioned this on Discord a while back when talking about starters, but I like the idea of a big grass lion with a leaf mane. Maybe it's leaves have very strong medicinal properties.

    Idea 3: Hognose snake. Because they're cute. Part Ground for sure because they love digging, and maybe Dragon because reptile?

    Idea 4: HOW IS THERE NOT A RATTLESNAKE MON YET?! We have to do that come on. Poison/Dragon would be fun. Like a combo of a rattlesnake and serpentine dragons.

    Idea 5: Maybe a new wolf mon? Based it off timber wolves.

    Idea 6: Black bear. Or a brown bear either is fine I just want a new bear. And yeah I know we could just use Ursaring or maybe a regional form of it, but I want a more classical bear, you know? Not necessarily a bipedal one.

    And to end this off, I'll bring up an idea by @NyxieRina about maybe having Pokémon based off specific members. Like instead of the hidden trainers. Or both we could just leave up to each specific person which they want to be represented, if at all.

    Hi! First time posting on this thread! I love your ideas ans I want to draw them all!

    This lil cutie in particular caught my eye. I know its just a lil balloon Pokémon but idk I just love them so much. I want them to be added to the final dex.

    I have an idea on how to include them. What if instead of just a one-off we make them a mythical Pokémon. You know the ones that have 600 base stat totals and doesnt really contribute anything to the lore. That kind. It kinda fits the vibe of the small and cute mythicals and with a bit of tweaking to the design I think it can fit well. Maybe it can be something like the Mythical of Happiness and Jubilation since Balloons are used in happy celebrations. Maybe its name can reflect that like Cheerloon or Joyfloon or Ballight. Thesaurus said that one of the adjectives of happy if flying high so hey it works there roo.

    You can ignire this if you want, its just a random thought of someone whos irrationally in love with this lil baloon mon

    I HAVE HAD A STROKE OF GENIUS!!! (this may be an exaggeration...)

    Anyway, way back during the 2020 Summer Scramble, Team Wisdom (of which I was part of) made a certain fakemon that I think would fit really well, as it is based off an owl. After digging into the archives, I found the Google Doc for it. Due to the nature of the event, all of the work for this is already done. The movepool, shiny forms, evolution methods, abilities, etc. We even gave it a Gigantamax form, but we don't have to use it if we don't want Dynamaxing.

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HvKOOowoonNVudpRqXj5exGXSq3rIa0-/view?usp=drivesdk

    Boom.

    A follow-up idea for this; Great Horned Owls and crows are sort of natural enemies in the wild. So, how about we make a regional Corviknight to represent that? It could also just be a normal Corviknight, or a new Pokémon altogether. I just like it when it's described how certain Pokémon interact.

    We could also look into the other mons made for this event but we should probably make sure the creators are okay with it.

    (we won the event btw ;) )

    Since this appears to have become a general dumping ground for miscellaneous fakemon ideas, I'd like to share some of the concepts I've come up with on the Discord over the past few months.

    A psychic-type cosmic turtle based off the Spotted Turtle and a planetarium.

    A grass-type North American Porcupine-based Pokémon, possibly combined with a pinecone?

    A three-stage Electric/Flying bat Pokémon based off of various electronic video displays, starting as CRT, then moving on to LCD and then Plasma display (inspired by the name of the Tricolor Bat). Not really sure how to get the concept to work, though. @Dead Snek suggested making it a neon sign bat instead.
