We all have been through difficult gym leaders, much like this one:

But which gym leader(s) did you find to be really easy to get through? Which games had the easiest gym leaders?
For me, the easiest gym leader was Falkner, as he never had anything all that impressive. It's almost as though he was a makeshift entry as a gym leader, given that he was the first one in the Johto region. The game that had the easiest gym leaders overall is a tie between Platinum and Gold/Silver. The Pokémon you could get so early in the game made it all too easy to play through the games, especially in Platinum, and for Gold/Silver, the gym leaders just never put up a fight. *Looks to Falkner*

Renamed this thread so it's clearer that it's encompassing older gen gym leaders, otherwise it'd fit better in the Pokémon General forum. Hope that's all right!

Easiest? Uhhh lesse. Pryce in G/S/C/HG/SS was an absolute joke and the Johto gym leaders were already extremely easy. At least Jasmine had the steel type's massive resistances to use to her advantage, and Chuck's Pokémon can hit hard assuming mine don't OHKO them first.. hah. Overall I felt most of Johto and Hoenn's gyms were a joke difficulty-wise.

I'd have to agree with Sheep on this one. Johto's Gym Leaders were absolutely pathetic compared to Kanto's, and to be honest, Jasmine was really the only one who ever gave me the slightest bit of trouble.

@[member="Sheep"] of course, it didn't pass my mind to make the name that, my bad!
I obviously agree that Johto had terrible leaders, but Hoenn I disagree on. Probably because I'm a Hoenn fanboy, but hey. ORAS would make sense, but the originals were stronger, at least in my opinion.

I would say Bugsy in G/S/C. Even the name itself screams "fail."

Candice of Snowpoint City in DPP. Honestly, those Pokémon just took one look at my Rapidash and fainted.

Erika from the first generation. She just wasn't challenging for me. Possibly because the Rocket hideout came right after, which is why I thought she was incredibly easy to get through.

Easiest was probably Janine in G/S/C. Not only were her Pokémon not that great, they were all vastly under-leveled than all the other Kanto leaders, for some reason.

Well, Brock was the easiest thing ever as long as you didn't choose Charmander, and if you started with Bulbasaur Misty was a breeze as well. The same goes for Roxanne in Hoenn. I also can't deny that most of the Johto Gym Leaders were less as intimidating, and didn't form a challenge to me at any point. I have to admit that the recent generations did step up their game in terms of Gym Leaders :)

Pryce's and Erika's gyms were always embarrassingly easy for me. Even in LG when I picked Venusaur Erika was no trouble at all.
