Do you use them? How often, and when? I only use keyboard emojis on rare occasion,but for some reason, certain keyboard faces people type annoy me...Ever feel that? It's so weird! You can tell someone's personality from what they use on the keyboard or phone. I only use phone emojis for comedic purposes or to put hearts! What about you?
I have been known to use " :^) " sarcastically but other than that no. Those anime faces with their ^_0^~ get old reaal quick
I use them so that my posts don't come off as too serious! Along with exclamation points sometimes. I don't want to seem like an unapproachable person, y'know? ^^
I never have found a purpose to utilising emoji. I can communicate my intended messages perfectly fine without them, and really they just serve as extra characters that contribute no additional meaning. The only time I ever consciously use emoji is whenever I'm trying to subtly annoy somebody.
I'm the same! I love using emojis and I use a wide variety. I'm a happy person, so I have to make sure others online can see that as well, right?
Oooh emojis! One of the things I despise the most! I'm not sure why, but the very sight of emojis (the ones showing emotions) really annoys me. I don't get annoyed at people using them, but I get annoyed seeing them. I never use emojis, just the pictures of the animals which I'm pretty sure aren't emojis. I personally do not see the purpose of using them, but to other people who want to bring emotion to their texts, I can see why they are used. Not all of them are bad I guess, it's just when people constantly place them in single posts. Here are examples of instances where emojis become frustrating for me to see (I'm pretty sure a lot of people think the same): Spoiler I also dislike how repetitive they are and how commonly used they are in today's society.
Emojis are so cute and hilarious! I love using them here and there to sprinkle a little extra kawaii. ^^ Luckily nowadays I don't spam them as often as I used to, but I still enjoy seeing them here and there because they cheer me up.

I, personally, only use emojis when entirely necessary, for example to invoke emotion to a sentence to make sure it wasn't coming off as rude or sarcastic, or use them constantly as Australian sh*tposting material.
oh I think I'm guilty of using emojis hahaha I used to avoid using them but since a lot of my friends do it, I find myself starting to do it too and it took a while for me to notice it. ... I just hope I'm not annoying anyone by doing it around here lol
Aren't "keyboard emojis" techincally called emoticons? Either way, I like using those, especially : 3 Phone/Image emojis are a little annoying, but fine, but there's a limit, such as if someone overuses them or uses an emoji completely irrelevant to their message. Though tbh I always use three emojis: the sunglasses one, the upside down one, and the sheep one. Because I'm weird, I guess.
I wish to respectfully disagree with your stance. That's correct. Emoji are actual pictorial faces; when they're used with letters or symbols found via simple typing, they're called emoticons. A large difference between the two is that emoji can't render in all mediums; wherever they appear has to be specifically built, or at least cater to, the existence of emoji. This is why, from observation, emoticons are easier to pass on and replicate. They don't have as wide of a range as emoji, but that's simply a limitation of using characters instead of pictures.
