It depends on the length of the ride. If the ride takes more than 12 hours, I hate everything which brings you to a certain place. I can't sleep in moving things.
Never been on a train. It's probably the only normal means of transportation I haven't ridden as of yet. DEJA VU! I HAVE BEEN IN THIS PLACE BEFORE (HIGHER ON THE STREET) AND I KNOW IT'S MY TIME TO COME HOME! (sorry, it's just that I can't see a mention of the Polar Express without remembering Initial D memes)
I used to be obsessed with trains when I was five. I loved them. I eventually grew out of it. Today I'm just neutral to train rides. Its just another means of transportation where I sit in a chair for however long I need to. Really no different from anything else.
In Hong Kong, we have something called a Mass Transit Railway, or MTR for short. It's more or less the same as the UK Underground. I don't necessarily enjoy riding in it, as it's often extremely crowded, but it is an efficient way of getting around quickly.
Oh, this reminded me of a TF2 animation and a (pretty bad) yodatefor the game. Let’s jsut day, it was a big waste of the communities time as it was jsut a bad update in general that is a staple of TF2 history.
I took an Amtrak train ride once. Where I ended up going...it was definitely not the most efficient way to get there. Comfortable enough ride though.
This. I use the MTR pretty often, but it's only because it's fast and one of the few ways to get a friend's house.
When I was younger I used to enjoy riding on trains. There was just something fun about getting on the train itself. Now though, I'm more cautious about them. The last time I rode on any kind of train was a few years ago. I was supposed to be staying with my aunt for the weekend, and was taking the train to visit her, but I'd never been on this train before, so when I got to my stop I couldn't figure out how to get the stupid doors to open (I didn't know that I was supposed to push a button), and I ended up missing my stop. I was already feeling anxious about doing something that I'd never done by myself before (ride a train), so this experience was just icing on the anxiety cake.
