I'm not sure where to start first, so here is a list instead of a paragraph: - I'm running a gaming club at school this year - I will be creating missions that are meant to teach people who have never played a tabletop game before how to play D&D - The Discord Chat was discussing D&D - Someone mentioned how they wanted to play, but couldn't figure out the rules - I mentioned the first 2, and offered to run it for LV members - I recieved positive feedback Okay, that sums up how this thread was inspired. If you are interested in joining this, post below saying so. It won't lock you in to playing, I just want to see who may be interested. After that, we can sort out a time. It will be run on Roll20, a website that exists for online gaming. If you understand the rules of 5th edition D&D rules, you may create your own character using D&D Adventurer's League rules. However, you will not be able to join until after the intro misdions are over, due to plot reasons. Characters will be 5th level upon leaving the intro missions (there will be an excellerated leveling until 5th level). If you do not know the rules, but still want control over how your character ends up, don't worry. You are allowed to change parts of your character (especially the magic classes), after the intro missions. Anyone is welcome to join on. You don't even need to be there every session. Even if you were there only on rare occasions, the explanation would be that you are a mercenary that the group hires occasionally. So if you think that this may interest you, let me know below. Feel free to ask questions as well if I didn't answer them already, or well enough.
Ayyyyyyy, this is sick af, will it be text based or over voice chat? Also over a website so there's a map or just story based?
I've never played D&D before, but I've always been interested in trying so this is kinda awesome to see!
D&D is awesome, I'm down for an occasional game! I know the 5th Edition rules 100% now. /Mercenary Derahex out
@[member="Weavile Sly"] Nope. Roll 20 has a voice chat system on their website. If you don't want others to hear your voice though, Discord would be for communication. Oh hey, it also has a normal chat. So Discord is unnecessary
I'd like to "throw my hat into the ring", no idea how regular I will be but I still want to try it. Please also note that I've never played before OR read any of the rules.
I'm interested. I've only played a litle bit of D&D before, though, and it's been a few years since then... so I don't remember anything about it lol
I already said this before in the Discord chat, but I'm interested! I hope this'll give me some experience in playing D&D so that I can finally use that starter kit I ordered months ago and be a DM myself, lol.
I would rather watch since I really know nothing and learn more by watching it play out at first, but @[member="BiohazardSr"] I know you like this, so incase you miss the thread, here ya go
As Cad said and I said on discord, I love this kind of shit. Although there's a lot of interest already, so I dunno if you have enough room for me. However like Mimic, I got a good amount of prior experience. So if you need some players with that then I'm open. I am going to need to know some of the lore of the land though before I create a character (i.e. which races exist, are active, basic geographic info, etc). This sounds really fun though, and if you need any help, I'm good for it. My only concern is making time in my work schedule. I won't be able to make every session
@[member="Mimic"] @[member="DrGetus"] @[member="Strytho"] @[member="HiddenLore"] @[member="TripleAAABattery"] @[member="Weavile Sly"] @[member="Derahex"] @[member="Megarai111"] @[member="Cadbberry"] @[member="BiohazardSr"] I have a question for all of you. Would you be interested on me adding Pokémon to this? Maybe not at first, but further in. I figured out a decent way to translate them into the rules.
Still good! If it changes anything on the D&D general lore just let us know. I'm willing to bet it's adaptation from Pokémon Tabletop United
I would love to try this, even though I have never played real tabletop D&D, though So if you need a bard, count me in!
