I dreamed of those horrible monsters. I don't even want to think of what I saw. It was the middle of the night when I awoke from the nightmare. I couldn't go back to sleep, so I ended up wandering into the library. I found a large book of myths and legends. The most interesting of which was 'The Black Star Children and the Shadow Realm'. It talked about the controllers of time, future, wish, worlds, light, and shadow. It was a great read. Otherwise, a whole lot of nothing happened on Sunday. I didn't get to talk to Damien. Hopefully I will today.

Damien wasn't here today. Instead, it was a pretty blonde girl. She had green eyes and curly blonde hair that was kept in a ponytail. She was...nice, I suppose. Just a bit weird. Classes were boring. A lot of talk about slavery in history. Everything the teacher said was followed by a long silence. Hoping to talk to Damien tomorrow.

I found out that blonde girls name today. Ever Lasting. Everyone calls her Lasting. It's the same name as the Black Star Child of Time in the myths. Odd. It's Christmas Eve. I don't know what I want. Seeing these kids smile would be enough for me.

I was so nice to see so many smiles. Everyone was so happy, playing with his or hers new toys. Damien came by earlier and gave me a gift: a silver necklace with a silver flower, which had a purple gem in the center. First time I've smiled in days

At times when I can't sleep at night, I would sneak into the library. I would read stories of great heroes and powerful gods. Tales of helpless love and even the creation of the world we live in. Good always won in the end. I hope real life is the same.

I've been talking to that Lasting girl lately. She's not so bad after you get used to her. I mentioned how she has the same name as one of the Black Star Children in the myths. She said that she was a Black Star Child. She must've been being sarcastic. It's just a myth, right?

I saw Lasting in the library earlier talking to someone I didn't know. They were talking about me of all people. Lasting said, "Evaline Rain... Do you think she's the one?" I ran out of there before they could see me, at least I hope. I have so many questions now. The one of what? How'd she even know my last name? I'm honestly really scared right now, more than I should be.
