A very simple trick that allows you to get access to the latest Pokémon games early if you live anywhere in Europe, if circumstances permit.

Details: If you do not have a Nintendo Network ID linked to your Nintendo 3DS, you will be able to freely change your region and access the e-shop for all PAL territories. Among those, Australia, who got the game today, is included. By setting your region to Australia, you can immediately download the games!

If you DO have a Nintendo Network ID, that complicates matters, as it won't let you go into the e-shop of a different region. There are two solutions: Get a preowned 3DS and do this trick, or format your existing 3DS, but remember, if you do that, you will lose access to all of the titles you previously downloaded. (You CAN sign in to redownload them all for free, though, but the save data for those titles will be long gone). Depends how much you want the games. The choice is yours!)
