Expanding Sea vs Land

I'm a way bigger fan of team Aqua because I like water a lot, so yeah, I would expand the sea,

 

I feel like expanding the sea more, but then again, there already is so much sea in the world... Eh, whatever, more sea

 

I'd expand the land.
Probably because I'm doing geography homework right now (I'm studying for the upcoming test week), and most of the stuff is about seas XD
So yeah, more land. More room to grow food, more space for humans to live on (not that the ever-expanding human population is such a good thing to me).

 

I'd say expanding land a little bit. True, we need water; however there is a lot of water in the hoenn region. Plus there are more than just water Pokémon. We have to expand the land for those other Pokémon who can't live in water.

 

These difficult questions!
I think I'd actually expand the land. I love the idea of more water, but then I think of the smaller islands and stuff, which would be lost with more sea (I really like my secret base on secret shore, but it'd be flooded if there was more sea). In the end, more land is really the better idea if you ask me.

 

I'd like to expand the sea. Water's reely awesome if you ask me. (; And Team Aqua's cool too.

 

This question is really really interesting to think about when you apply it to the real world. Let's get philosophical, yeah?

When you say you expand the land, yes there would be more places for humans to expand and grow. But at the same time, it would also increase the rate we're poisoning and polluting the planet, hastening the planet's demise.

When you say you expand the sea, yes there would be more water. A lot more water. Swallowing up the landmass, killing a lot of people. But at the same time, this would cut off our steady growth rate that some people believe is out of control, meaning a much more sustainable rate of living.

Pick your poison.

That pretty much sums up Team Aqua. I would expand the land due to the fact that there is a whole ton of water in the world compared to land, so I think the balance should be better with us getting more land.

 

That also applies to Team Magma, too. (I posted the same image on another Pokémon forum saying Team Magma was smarter and someone corrected me on that.)

Science aside, I would rather expand the land. Sure, I guess it'd be cool for humankind to adapt to sea life and build underwater cities, buuuut there's much more one can do on land, not to mention it's home to many Pokémon. Even if we were to adapt, it's likely they wouldn't be able to. (Of course, Pokémon can still battle underwater nevertheless. Gotta love Pokémon logic.)

 

Expand the Land or Sea...this is a tough one. Maybe the Sea as then we wouldn't run out of water but it might be harder to live on the Sea. Still, a drought would suck.

I would expand the land. Human growth far outmatches that of the ocean in terms of importance. Nah, I just think that it would be a lot cooler for us to have more land instead of more ocean in this world.

 

I don't really think expanding one or the other is a good idea. ORAS makes it pretty clear that you need both land and sea to live, and an abundance of either can mess with the balance of the planet and really screw us over in the long run. I'm more for preserving what we have and making the most out of it, since expanding one or the other would just ruin the world in the long run.

 

Team Aqua's plan was kind of dumb.
So they want to awaken Kyogre in order to make rain, in order to grow the sea, right?
Uh....rain comes from the sea water, so Archie's master plan was taking water out from the sea and putting it back?

 

Solution: Expand the sky instead.

But really, I think I'd go for sea expansion, if I did have to choose.

 

Even though I really prefer Team Aqua, I prefer Team Magma's plan of expanding the land. I also happen to love volcanoes and their activity with eruptions!

I grew up with the sea, so I have a bit of nostalgic attachment to it. In addition, ocean breezes and evaporating water near the coastline generally brings more rain, and I prefer rain to sunshine, so more coast is good on all fronts for me. In addition, because all of my ancestors came from coastal cities or islands (Cork, Ireland; Lisbon, Portugal; the Azores), I have a bit of a genetic predisposition for the ocean -- it's in my blood to love the water.

I have no good reason to expand the land other than global warming (?).
