Ha! My educated guesses at last have confirmation! No longer are they the ramblings of an inquisitive drake - now they are based in reality.
I'm tempted to just aimlessly flip back and forth between the pages somewhere just to see if I get a shiny but we all know that won't work since I'll be looking for a shiny therefore it won't appear of course, is been like that al lthe other times. XD
Can confirm that hunts never go the way you expect. It only works once, maybe twice. After that, it tends to be dulled. As much as I'd love a shiny Horsea to cross my path, I know it isn't going to happen.
If only pretending to only wanna meet regular mons would bring out the shinies, they always seem to come when you're specifically not looking for them. XD
It actually does work; you just have to be exceptionally crafty about it. ...Unfortunately, I keep forgetting to put myself into that mindset, so I have not had recent success.
Doesn't always work for me, sometimes I just aimlessly float around with nothing really interesting popping up, but I'm also afraid that I'll just skip a shiny if one should show up since I've already done that once.
Maybe all my luck lies in the catcher rather than the games since you find about 3 times as many in the games as I do.
I'm neither lucky nor unlucky in both the Catcher and the actual games. I won't complain. I at least found and caught a Shiny in the Catcher
If you get an opportunity for something rare and fantastic to show up at your doorstep, you take it and don't ask questions.
I did that with the first shiny I found that wasn't from the rush, I'm still a tad salty about it but that'll teach me to not RP at 4 am. XD
