Explosion

Glalie.

Dat Refrigirate Explosion. I legit haven't seen any Pokémon to survive it.

Basic math.

Exlosion 250 and Mega Glalies Att stat is 120

Refrigirate makes Explosion 325 base damage. that added tho Glalies attack it is 445. Then make it STAB (1,5x) it is 667.

667 damage ice explosion ... Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

 

Explosion is a fantastic move, and I love it. I find it most useful in double/triple battles, however. Normal type users like Snorlax and Belly Drum Lickilicky are great users for it, and can dent nearly anything.

 

I hardly ever use Explosion on any of my Pokémon, because there's just too much to worry about. Ghost types, for one... and the move Protect. It might be useful if you're running a Custap Forretress with Sturdy. Other than that, Explosion just isn't my cup of tea.

 

The awesome Explosive Glalie is really cool. Just knowing that you have a speed boost or Sticky Web and no problems with priority moves (if you defeated the possible ones), you know that this guy....Will kill somehing surely

 

I don't think that anything can beat refrigerate explosion, it's just so powerfull. I don't like the thought of just giving up a Pokémon for some damage, but with Glalie it's almost asured that you'll kill something, which actually makes using it worth trying.

 

Explosion is a great move.
1: It does a wopping 250 pwr damage.
2: using focus sash to get to 1 HP then using explosion is useful.
3: Hits multiple opponents in a double battle.

Bad:
1: Cant hit ghost types.
2: Your Pokémon faint and dies alone if the other uses some kind of blocking move, protect, wide guard, mat block etc.
3: Hits your Pokémon too, and focus sash & custap berry is worried.

I really like glalie, since it has a lot of power with the refridgerator boost which can do some huge damage.
Glalie is kinda fragile for a mega though, so I dont use it well. Explosion can be risky but let you to a big award.

 

excpt Glalie, it is never expected a Pokémon to run explosion! Thats why i like it! You have to deal with massive damage and you dont expect it!

 

While the idea of a floating head of ice exploding in my face is... horrifying, something that everyone forgets is how lando gets its. As a scarfed lead with knock off, U-turn, and stone edge/earthquake, explosion could be an amazing last resort move once landorous is near death and has done sufficient damage to a team, considering landorous therian's attack is base 145.

 

Custap Berry Gigalith was pretty good last Gen. At least, Nbz used it in 5GAAG.

 

I always use Explosion on my Azelf called lakevalor.net. It is deadly. Sometimes I give it Normal Gem just to be a jerk, haha.

 

lol I used CB Azelf+Explosion. Also, CB Landorus-T with Explosion is pretty fun, especially when they think they can just bring in their Rotom-W. xD

 

I don't really use explosion that much, but I did use a Gigalith with Explosion running Choice Band in VGC 2014. It killed almost anything that didn't resist it.

 

I must add an important detail. I like making Mew Explode

using a Normal Gem and the Stall breaker set (Knock Off, Soft-boailed, Stealth Rocks, Heal Bell) 252 HP, 252 Specuial Defense. You set rocks, you Knock Off spam and in late game you just use Explosion. It is hard to pick between Glalie and Mew, but Mew gave me so funny moments haha ( I never made Azelf explode, even before joining to Lake Valor)

 

The nice part about a Pokémon with Explosion is the chance to go out with a bang. Yes, I just went there.

Electrode is the most annoying to catch in-game because of this move, but I guess we need to take advice from the guy that is always asking for our gender:

 

I always liked Bronzong using it at the last moment, when it's under 30 HP, or something like that. But after reading about Glalie, I think I like that now. Can't wait to use that in battle~

 

I really love explosion sets. I particularity love Bronzong as well, since it really does set up pretty well since it's already bulky as it is. Get it down to low health? No problem, the explosion takes care of the foe pretty well since you were going to faint anyways.

 

Now landorus -t holding a normal gem using explosion is a common thing now, they say.

 

I favoured using it on a Shiftry back in the day. It sorta lost its charm to me then when its defense halving effect got removed.

I must be one of the unluckiest players then because I've seen mons survive a Glalie explosion and they weren't bulky, had no focus band/sash nor did they crucially resist ice.
