Fan art or Original Art- Which is more fun?

    When drawing, lots of people tend to have their own Original Characters (OCs) but also draw art of characters from their favorite games, anime, TV shows and more. So which do you find more fun to draw, your own characters or characters from your interest? Do you like to combine the two?

    I prefer drawing OCs, but only because most of my drawing is done at school when I can't pull up reference pictures haha.

    Fanart is fun to do occasionally though.

    Fanart! I love drawing existing things, fun to see how they'd come out in my style. :3 That and I'm pretty bad at ideas so OCs are always hard for me to come up with lol. I'd much rather you show me what you want drawn. ;P

    Fanart really requires the creativity to come up with something all by yourself, while original art was mainly already made for you. I definitely prefer fanart, but unfortunately I suck at it xD

    I personally prefer fanart, I guess its just easier to think of stuff for fanart, I'm not very good at coming up with OC which is a bit of a problem though both can definitely be fun.

    I have to say myself, I do like drawing my own characters yet fanart just has more ideas spilled into it when I draw it. I like playing off of canon ideas, and my OCs don't really have excessive stories to put meaning behind when I draw.

    I used to do Original Art but now I prefer fanart. Why? It's a lot of fun to do fanart and I love seeing different art styles of the character. I also feel my creativity fits more around fanart then original art.
