A Rom hack I'm working on little by little, Fandomon is intended to be a very hard, but playable remake of a fail hack I made in my adolescence called Pokémon SteelEdge. Like its progenitor, this game actually has a blend of fandom and original designs.

This game is balanced around the 10x speedup function of VBA, since that makes overleveling excessively far too easy otherwise. When this game is finished and polished I may release a version balanced more like a normal Pokémon game, which would be ideal for burning to flash cards.

Base stat totals are much higher than standard Pokémon; this is to discourage modifying the game to make unedited official Pokémon appear, since they will be utterly worthless. They balance each other out relatively, though. Also, a lot of moves and some type matchups have been altered. Normal now has an edge against Psychic and resists Bug, Ice resists Water and Grass, Steel does not resist Dark and Ghost (like Gen VI), ghost does not resist Bug (so Dark/Ghost types will have a weakness), and Foresight/Odor Sleuth remove ALL immunities, but Steel types still cannot be afflicted with poison status. There's a whole host of little changes to make this game unique.

No download link yet because it needs a lot of development before I will drop another release, and the latest release I have is too out of date.

Thank you. I should make note that this game does have some bugs, but none of them are game-breaking. The bugs are as follows:
-A few missing lines of text, when saving and the "the internal battery has run dry" message if you do not have Real-Time Clock enabled on your emulator. There are glitchy word categories when selecting a trendy phrase, etc. but these are labeled. Don't open them; they will hang your game for a few minutes loading a wall of glitch symbols. If you select these glitched lines, the game will reset upon trying to read back the phrase. I think these text issues are caused by YAPE auto-repointing Pokémon names to free space which should not be used.

-If you use the link rooms, after opening any menu your sprites will disappear, but you can still move. This is an unavoidable bug with the day and night tool. It will also give you a full menu inside of the link rooms. DO NOT SAVE INSIDE, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT. Upon completing your trade/link battle, you can simply reset emulation, and you'll leave the room. Or you can count your steps and walk out that way.

-Contests are nigh unplayable because the move editing tool I use breaks contest effects. They are completely pointless anyway (unless you have a love of luxury balls), so I'll probably just remove them altogether. No Fandomon will ever use the max beauty evolution mechanic.

-Slateport's mart will never be edited because if I do anything to it, it freezes the game for some weird reason.

    -Some minor text formatting issues.

    I think that's it.

Bump for a major update: custom music! I ran into problems when repointing this song but that was from pointing too close to the end of the ROM - using a vast void of free space which comes after the other song data resolved the bug.
