Anyone have any tips for getting BP? I could use the evolutionary and power items in the Battle Masion. Not sure if it'd be faster to get them in the Battle Masion or the Battle Institute.

Currently I'm doing single battles in the Battle Masion but it's still pretty slow going :/ Anyone have any good Pokémon/moves that just hit fast and hard and can OHKO most of the opposition?

I use the Scizor, Gardevoir, Talonflame and Kabutops from my team (which you can find in my team advice thread) and play Super rotation battles. And so far, they haven't lost me a thing, and I get lots of BP. I went from 13 to 119 after two periods of play time, so that's good progress. If you get a good streak going, you get more BP per battle. I got to the point where I was getting 4 BP per battle until I switched to some other members of the team and met my end on one battle.

Seriously though, Talonflame wrecks stuff up. Adamant, Gale Wings, maxed out EVs in attack and speed, with Roost, Brave Bird, Flare Blitz and Swords Dance. Mine is Jolly and even that gets the job done. Get yourself one (I could breed you one) and give it a shot.

You can also try using a Mega Mawile. Adamant, max Attack EV, and the Huge Power boost is insane! And, on top of that, give it Swords Dance. Spread the other EV's between Sp. Def and Def, so it can take a hit while you're setting up. Then, wreck some serious stuff with STAB Play Rough, and priority Sucker Punch. You can also give it Iron Head for STAB and type coverage.

(Beware of Fire and Earthquke though!)

Might I suggest battle tests for BP? If you sweep everything with a good team, you get like 15 bp for only 5 battles. Easier than building a streak.

In battle maison for the regular single battles, I went all the way through and I got up to 50 bp total, which is pretty good for regular battles. I'd say Battle Maison is better since you earn BP so much faster and you can go through an unlimited streak instead of doing 5 each time(Battle Institute).

    That's an awesome article o.o

I'm very tempted to try it but I don't know if I want to start breeding for a battle team before I finish the dex.

Thanks everyone though for your inputs. I think I'll stick with my Battle Masion streak for now. I haven't been able to get to streak 20 though. Guess my pkm just aren't strong enough :(

    My team:

    Blastoise @ Blastoisenite
    - Surf (need for outside maison)
    - Toxic
    - Protect
    - Ice Beam

    Crobat @ Black Sludge
    - U Turn
    - Sludge Bomb
    - Shadow Bomb
    - Fly (need it for outside Maison)

    Haxorus @ Leftovers
    - Earthquake
    - Outrage
    - Brick Break
    - False Swipe (need for outside Maison)

Anyone have any tips for items/moves that could get me to streak 20 without having to breed a new team?

Alright imma take a crack at this.

Blastoise - You have a Blastoise with Blastoisinite and no sphere/pulse moves. no. That completely ruins the point of Mega Launcher. >.> I've got a Modest Squirtle with Aura Sphere, Dragon Pulse, Aqua Jet and Yawn sitting in my box. All you need is to level it up and give it Water Pulse over Aqua Jet and Toxic/Protect (your choice) over Yawn.

Crobat - You've got most of it right, actually. Just need Cross Poison over Sludge Bomb; Crobat has low Sp. Atk compared to Attack.

Haxorus - Haxorus is awesome. You've got most of it right. I'll give you a Bisharp from White for your catcher ('Sharp gets T-Wave) so you can use Haxorus competitively. Swords Dance over False Swipe - within one Swords Dance, Haxorus will pretty much maul everything. Except for Fairies, where you should just switch into Crobat.

Mega Kangaskhan is the ultimate sweeper in Super Singles. With him and a special attacker that covers the types Kanga can't beat, you'll be juuuust fine.

Thanks for the offers but I'll stick with what I have. I fixed Crobat and Haxorus as your suggestion (I finally leveled up a Smeargle that knows False Swipe and appointed it to be my catcher). Blastoise I replaced with Tyranitar because Tyranitar is cooler *nods* :P

Do you need high IV pkm to beat the maison? By beat I mean +50 streak.

If your Pokémon aren't fit for competitive battles, they won't be fit for the Maison. IVs aren't really necessary but they're certainly a huge bonus, and you'll be hindered without having properly IV bred Pokémon. If your Pokémon aren't EV trained, you won't stand a chance. I'd really listen to Splasher's suggestions and take them up on their offer. Your in-game team should be entirely separate from your Maison team if you're serious about getting a high streak.
