Favorite abilities?

My favorites abilities are:
-Competitive: The opponent sends a Pokémon with Intimidate, while my Pokémon sp.attack grows more

-Prankster: Because you can play with your opponent to destroy its strategy

 

Definitely Competitive, it's simply amazing. I really want a Competitive Milotic (hehe, get it?)

 

imposter- because Ditto needs something interseting.

but really... I don't know, maybe pickup or no Own tempo.
Own tempo because I love teaching my own tempo Liligant petal dance, all the power, none of the drawbacks

 

Oh, and Illusion for Zoroark. I love Zoroark, and its ability is perfect for it.

 

I really like attack/special attack-based abilities, like Defiant, Moxie, Competitive, and Intimidate.

Own Tempo is a good one too since it eliminates one of the most annoying status conditions ever.

Protean is AWESOME since the Pokémon always gets STAB.

 

How about Bulletproof? Or any of those other abilities that give you immunity to certain moves, those are amazing

 

Mold Breaker is amazing for those pesky levitate Pokémon (looking at you Rotom and Gengar >.>)

 

Serene Grace. Gotta love me some Paralyze/Flinch hax using a Togekiss . Prankster is a close second, giving status moves a +1 priority.

 

I'm a really big fan of the abilities like Refrigerate, Aerilate, and Pixilate that change normal type moves into other types and receive a boost. Protean is also a pretty neat ability that is always pretty fun to experiment with.

A few other abilities that I like include Magic Bounce, Contrary, Simple, Moxie, Levitate, Moody, No Guard, Poison Heal, Prankster, Simple, Skill Link, Speed Boost, Storm Drain, Technician, Unaware, and Wonder Guard. I find it to be really interesting to utilize the stat altering abilities like Contrary, Moxie, Speed Boost, Storm Drain, and Simple because they can be pretty useful. Contrary reverses all stat changes, moxie raises your attack after each KO which sets you up for a sweep, moody sharply raises one stat and lowers another for total randomness, speed boost raises your speed each turn which can be baton passed to another Pokémon, and storm drain can absorb any water attack and raise your special attack which can be pretty tactical on a switch in against a predicted water type move! Simple is probably my most favorite out of those because it doubles your stat changes, allowing a Pokémon to potentially max out its stats even faster. If a Pokémon had both Simple and Cotton Guard, it could maximize its defense entirely in one turn!

I also find abilities that provide immunities and other priority or effect changes to be pretty amazing too. Magic Bounce is by far probably my most favorite ability of all because not only does it make you immune to all status moves, but it redirects them back onto your opponent to give them a taste of their own medicine as they say it! xD Wonder guard is also pretty cool because if its combined with an electric type holding an air balloon, it is nearly invincible! Poison heal makes for a great boost since poison would normally deplete your health, and it also helps by protecting your Pokémon of other status while its poisoned. No guard allows you to hit your opponent with any move regardless of its accuracy, which can be pretty useful, and its name fits as both you and your opponent are affected by it. Skill link and Technician let Pokémon with weaker moves have increased damage or even let them him their maximum amount of times which can also be pretty great to utilize in battle. With earthquake being an extremely common move in battles, levitate is always a wonderful ability to have as it adds another great immunity to have, making Pokémon like Rotom Wash a force to be reckoned with. Prankster enables you to inflict statuses before your opponent attacks, which really comes in handy when you're at a stalemate with a potential sweeper. Unaware is also pretty unique because it simply makes your Pokémon unaware of their opponents stat changes, which is amazing for setting up your own stats! Overall, these are basically just a select few abilities that are my favorite and I should probably stop typing now before I keep blabbering on about how awesome they all are.

 

Guts. Oh the horror when playing a UU game where a Banded Heracross gets burned. It's just funny to get burned/poisoned/para'ed and have a way to be like "Think you can half my attack? NOPE, BOOSTED IT, BITCH!"

 

My favorite Pokémon ability would probably be Speed Boost or Filter

 

Levitate, because now your Swords Danced Earthquake won't hit me.

Simple.
By doubling all stat changes and the power of criticals, it makes setting up pretty easy.

 

Magic Guard, Dry Skin, Technician, Huge Power, Magic Bounce. I could go on and on.

 

Pressure did wonders for me throughout the series so definitely that - eating away at opponents' PP is so fun. Static, Effect Spore and the like are also really really good and immensely useful. Boom paralysis on contact! Just.. not as fun when it's used against me, of course. Urgh.

 

Huge Power is my favorite. A doubled attack stat is invaluable, especially when paired with belly drum. I run an Azumarill with this.
