What is your favorite baby Pokémon and why? And which do you think could have been a little bit better? My favorites are Tyrogue, because of it's versatility, and Elekid because I like it's evolution line. Share your thoughts here!

For the most part I'm not a fan of baby Pokémon because the majority feel like nothing but Pokédex fillers to me, but I agree with you on Elekid, and also its Fire-counterpart Magby. I like both the lines, the Pokémon in each case just keep getting cooler.

I'll agree with Doima, they are kinda like fillers. I do like Bonsly and Munchlax, but more for their usage in SSBB than in Pokémon. And I only really like Elekid and Magby in the Mystery dungeon series, otherwise I'll only catch one to evolve it, then keep using thief/covet for the Magmariser/Electrizer

I reallly like Riolu and Togepi, because their evolution lines are two of my favorites, especially Togepi's. I'm a huge fan of Togekiss. Though I don't use Mantine much, and I never use Mr. Mime, I love Mantyke and Mime Jr's designs. Very cute! :)

Gonna go with Riolu on this one. It's a surprisingly rather useful Pokémon considering it's a baby Pokémon, and Lucario is admittedly pretty cool.

I never think of Riolu and Togepi as a "baby Pokémon", just simply as a Pokémon that evolve. I define baby Pokémon as pre-evolutions released after its later form has been around. Though maybe they officially are considered babies and I am wrong, I don't know.

Favorite is Budew...grass Pokémon are my favorite. Budew was one of my first Pokémon on Pearl and I trained him to be really great at battling. Now he has evolved into a Roserade though. :P

I really like Riolu because it's actually not that bad of a Pokémon, while most are just pushovers, it's design is pretty cool too. Togepi, because it's part of my favorite Flying line. They're a bitch to raise though. :D

But, yeah, I'm not too keen on most baby Pokémon. They're mostly hard to raise, hard to evolve, and hard to work with.

I like Riolu, because it's a good Pokémon, but I also like Togepi because I have a Togekiss and it's a pretty good Pokémon.

I'll agree, I don't count them as baby Pokémon. In my opinion, the baby Pokémon are any Pokémon which either came the game after like Doima said or any Pokémon which needs a special requirement while breeding, so Phione counts for me. Even though that entry counts Riolu and Togepi (and Azurill, but I just realised that fits into the special requirement category), I don't see them as "baby Pokémon". I don't think I ever will either, even if they officially are.

I don't know... I usually think of baby Pokémon to be the first Pokémon in an evolution line that requires happiness to evolve. With the exception of Eevee since it's not absolutely required to evolve.
I could be completely wrong on that, but that's kind of what I've thought of baby Pokémon to be...

After being curious I looked into it, and officially those two are baby Pokémon and I was wrong. One of the criteria for being a baby Pokémon is being part of the Undiscovered egg group, therefore unable to breed, and those two are. It just happens that those two are the only exceptions in the trend of all the others, being released in the same Gen as what they evolve into.

Doesn't change my favorites though. While Togekiss is cool I don't like its two pre-evolutions close to as much as the evolutions for Elekid and Magby, and I find Riolu and Lucario to be massively overrated by the fanbase.

Hmm, I don't usually care for baby Pokémon, but I quite like Elekid's design and I've got a soft spot for Munchlax. It's just so cute and goofy looking. :D

Baby Pokémon have become a lot more useful in Gen VI since every Pokémon in the undiscovered egg group (Basically baby Pokémon and Legendaries) are guaranteed to have at least three stats with 31 IVs.

I feel I'm alone when I say I really like Baby Pokémon. The whole concept seems nice and innovative. My favourite is Pichu's design, it's different from Pikachu's, but still similar, and he's my favourite from the whole Chu Family too.

Pichu is pretty neat, I've got to admit. The whole spiky-eared Pichu event was pretty innovative too, it's only a pity that it's doomed to stay on SoulSilver/HeartGold forever because it can't be transferred to later generations.

I seem to agree with everyone about Elekid, Magby, and Riolu being my favorite baby Pokémon. Not too surprising, espescally compared to a lot of the others...

My favourite is Wynaut. It's a good design given that Wobbuffet has a pretty wacked up look to start with; they really succeeded in giving it a younger look.
