Favorite Butterfly Pokemon

Vivillon. The patterns are really neat and that Compoundeyes Sleep Powder and Hurricane is pretty neat.

 

I've always loved Butterfree. I don't even really know why, it doesn't have the greatest stats or anything, but I just enjoy using it.
(also, Butterfree learns Psychic, and everything that learns Psychic gets my thumbs up)

 

Vivillon. Like others said, the different patterns are cool and because of the patterns it's the only butterfly Pokémon that stands out from the other two at all.

 

I do love Vivillon's design but I have to go with Butterfree since I always had one on my team while playing blue and yellow so it's more rooted in my childhood.

 

I like vivillons patterns and their collectability but I stick with Butterfree since it's usually one of the first and easiest pkm you can catch/evolve. It's also easier to get it to learn poison powder, stun spore and sleep powder so I can immediately start using it early in game to catch more pkm and build up my team. And like HayZaffre there's a certain emotional attachment to it for since I did grow up watching Ash and his Butterfree (and that bye bye butterfree episode. Can never forget the feels in that).

 

Beautifly's always been kinda cool... and its from hoenn so it gets that favor boost, I love hoenn

 

Vivillon! I love the concept of it, and it's clearly the better choice in competitive out of the three.

 

I like Butterfree partly for nostalgic reasons and partly because I could have a Pokémon that had some psychic type moves on my team. I never really used Beautifly or Vivillion, although the latter is a cool concept with the different designs.

I used to really suck at using psychic types until I started using Gallade and Gardevoir. Butterfree was one of the Pokémon I could fall back on before then.

 

Butterfree, and it isn't even a choice. Nostalgia and actual use encourages me toward the original butterfly over the later generations' - I don't recall more than once or twice that I've ever had a Beautifly, and I don't really like Vivillon's designs either.

When I was little, I didn't play Pokémon and just watched the show. I absolutely loved the episode called "Bye Bye Butterfree" and I thought it was so adorable to me >w< It became my favorite Pokémon episode of all time and Butterfree became one of my favorite Pokémon.

 

I love vivillion because it has different patterns

 

Butterfree is so adorable, come on xD But Vivillion definitely a close second. I wasn't ever too crazy about Beautifly to be honest.
