Favorite Dragon-Type Pokemon

I'm a huge fan of dragons in general, so I have a lot of Dragon-type favorites. My main three, however, are these guys-

Rayquaza has always been my favorite Pokémon (up until Gen 5 with the addition of Volcarona), and I still love it. Green is my favorite color, and I love glowing markings, so its design is all-around awesome, plus it's fun to use in battle. Back when I first played Ruby, I had no idea Rayquaza even existed, so when I discovered the Sky Pillar and made my way to the top, I instantly fell in love with it. Plus, it's shiny form is amazing, as well!

I wasn't much of a fan of the 4th Gen games, but Platinum made me change my mind about that with the addition of Giratina's Origin Form and the Distortion World, among other things. I don't know exactly why I like Giratina, but its design and typing really appeals to me. Plus it's scary as hell when you first encounter it in Platinum.

Kyurem is a new favorite, again because of the sequel games to Black and White. I love good alternate forms, and Kyurem's are no exception. White Kyurem is my favorite out of the three, and I use one on my casual White 2 team. Its design, while complicated, is cool- and its special attack is simply beastly.

Hmm, well to be honest, the main ones I really love excluding the legendaries are Flygon,Dragonite,Altaria and Hydregion.

Altaria because of how sweet and adorable it's Pokédex entry sounds, and it's such a cute looking Pokémon. Flygon because it's an all rounder and has pretty good stats as well as the fact that it's fast and I love it's design. Hydregion because of how it varies into Special Attack rather than Attack like it's other kind and I love it for it's design as well and how fearsome it is and it's one of my personal favourites since it's partly dark type.
Although my no.1 favourite will always be the cuddly, friendly Dragonite. I just love how it's bulky and hard to beat if it's used correctly and I've always loved this Pokémon ever since I saw Lance with it back in gen 3 when he was an elite four member.

 

Flygon, Altaria and Dragonair for me~ they're just so beautiful and the fact that they're dragon types without looking so dragon-y makes me laugh. XD

 

My favorite's Flygon, with its half Ground typing and its cool design. Gabite is pretty neat too though.

 

Hydreigon!(And Deino). I like its typing and it has Levitate which negates the effect of ground moves and entry hazards.
Its specialty in Sp.Attack is a good change after so many Attack dragons, which is another reason why I love it.
I still don't know why it can't learn Thunderbolt or Ice Beam even though it can learn Tri Attack that has 3 elements in it (Ice, Fire, Electric).

 

Dragonite then Haxorus in close second

 

Salamence for me.

The whole story line with Bagon wanting so much to fly is just great. Salamence was also the first dragon Pokémon that truly looked like how a dragon always appeared in my head, so it had that appeal to me too.

 

Gabite, Dragonite and Haxorus for me.

 

My favorite is Dragonite, cause it looks kinda cute and deadly at one. owo

 

Haxorus, full stop. Ever since I saw its artwork, I knew I just had to have one. So when I had the chance to catch an Axew, I lovingly raised him to a Fraxure and then to Haxorus. He's been a powerhouse on my White and Black 2 teams.

Love Zekrom and Dragonair as well. Zekrom because I seem to have a thing for black things and blue lightning is badass. Dragonair because I loved how graceful it appears.

Haxorus was really the only one I didn't mind taking the time to train because evolving Dragon-types take forever and you can catch it a lot sooner than Deino. Same with Dratini, at least in SoulSilver. By the time you can get one, the game's first half is almost over and it's almost pointless to train it even if you wanted to use it in the Kanto region. That's just my opinion though. By that time, my final team was already set and I used it in both Johto and Kanto.

 

Hydreigon! (obviously, haha) I love its typing, and design. I'm also partial to Special Attack, over Attack. I also think Druddigon's pretty cool, though.
