Favorite Female Singers

Although it is not a genre I regularly listen to, Haley Gibby is by far my favorite female singer. Her voice is so stunning and atmospheric.

 

Some of my favorite female singers are...

• Rihanna
• Lorde
• Katy Perry
• Ellie Goulding
• Enya
• Lady Gaga
• Ashley Tisdale

Those are the only ones that come straight to mind, but there are probably quite a few female artists I can name that I enjoy listening to. I am generally a fan of Pop, and that is mostly what the above singers I listed do.

 

My favourite female singer is Toshiko Koshijima from Capsule, an excellent J-Pop duo.

I fangirl over her all the time.

 

Taylor Swift. Sue me.

I like her voice, her way of songwriting, and her albums. Her first, and a bit of her second, is a bit too country for me, but her latest release, 1989, is a masterpiece and I'll die before someone can tell me otherwise.

Say what you want about Taylor, that she's a serial dater, all she writes about is boys, whatever. But you have to admit, she's gotten more creative and smarter as her career has pushed on. She's had three albums sell a million copies in the first week (the only one in the business to do so, by the way), and replaced HERSELF on the Billboard Hot 100 (Blank Space replaced Shake it Off for the #1 spot.)

She's great. Really.

I also love Lorde. Pure Heroine has been one of my favorite albums for awhile, and I can't wait for her second release!

This song in particular digs into my soul makes me feel bad for every heart I've broken. Which is a few. Y'know, just a few.

 

Uuhm, I think Christina Perri's voice is awesome and I also admire Demi Lovato's & Ellie Goulding's.
That if we talk about non-pop, Amy Lee, and Elize Ryd from Amaranthe.
And in Kpop I think some great female singers are Park Bom (2NE1), Raina (Orange Caramel) and Soyul (Crayon Pop).

 

Lacey Sturm (Flyleaf) and Hayley Williams (Paramore). And also a japan singer, Chelly from Egoist (Guilty Crown).

 

I really think Ailee has an amazing voice. It's really powerful compared to many singers.
Other singers I would have to commend would be Taylor Swift and Rihanna which have both made it huge in the music industry, because let's face it. Their songs are amazing and they know how to bring out the best in a song.
