    There are many really good final dungeon soundtracks, but once again, the first one to come to my mind is Donkey Kong 64 (OKAY SORRY I JUST LOVE THAT GAME!)

    The build-up to this stage is pretty good. The final stage is inside K. Rool's ship. So you're literally trying to infiltrate in their hideout, which is pretty cool. But the best part is that there's a constant timer on the bottom of your screen. You have a limited amount of time, before the doomsday machine is charged up and you lose. That timer alone builds some serious tension, at least to me, and the music really fits that :)
