Pretty much the title, go through each generation and say who’s your favorite gym leader! (or trial captain/kahuna for gen 7)
    Here’s my list:
1- Erika, no particular reason why. I just like her.
2- Clair, again no particular reason why. (I never really played through the first 2 gens, so that’s why the reasoning is lousy)
3- Winona, I like her design the best of the gen 3 gym leaders
4- Crasher Wake, for nostalgic reasons (that’s when my Prinplup evolved into Empoleon, and when I discovered how to use the cheat codes on my game)
5- Elesa, I love using her in Pokémon Masters.
6- Olympia, I love the whole galaxy aesthetic of her gym.
7- Acerola, she’s so smol and cute.
8- Piers, he’s the first and only dark type gym leader
He’s also the leader of Team Yell, which he created to support and cheer on Marnie so she would be more confident, what a madlad

Kanto: Sabrina, I like how varied her character is between various adaptations yet no matter how different she is, she's always one of the most complex and interesting gym leaders in any given work.

Johto: Pryce, he's just a cool old man. (hehe, cool...)

Hoenn: Flannery, I like how fiery and passionate she can be, while still being plagued by self doubt due to being new as a gym leader. I also think she's hot (in more ways than one).

Sinnoh: I'm not particularly familiar with these gym leaders, but Crasher Wake looks fun.

Unova: Drayden, who's an awesome dragon-type specialist and a veteran trainer.

Kalos: I know nothing about these gym leaders, other than what they look like, but Korrina has my favorite design of the bunch.

Alola: Nanu, he has an interesting backstory and personality. I like how he messes with people, but still has a good heart.

Galar: Piers, he's the first dark-type gym leader, he's Marnie's older brother, he's a rock star, the only thing that stops him from being the strongest gym leader (or even trainer) in Galar is his refusal to use Dynamax (which itself is pretty cool) and + - he's the leader of Team Yell   . In fact, I think Piers is actually my favorite gym leader overall.

I am embarrassingly not au courant with the current generations, but I'll try my best~!

Kanto: Sabrina's awesome, and she's mighty powerful, too~
Johto: Falkner~! I'm a little biased bc flying type, but he's quite cool, too~
Hoenn: Oh this is hard... hm, I'd say Wattson, he's a very fun guy to be with, and very cheerful~
Sinnoh: Fantina, for some strange reason...
Unova: Hm... they're all quite... quirky... I'd say Chili...
    Kalos: Korrina, I guess?
Alola: what is this crazy place Can I say none?
Galar: Raihan, since he looks the awesomest of the bunch~

    And a few miscellaneous ones:
Orange Islands: Rudy even though he nearly stole Misty from Ash...
Ransei: Considering all Warlords as Gym Leaders, I fancy Keiji, the most badass of the bunch~! (Plus he's a drifter, which I relate to a lot)
Grass Continent: considering each of the Gear Guardians as Gym Leaders, I'd say Azelf ;)

Kanto: Giovanni. Having the leader of the evil team be a gym leader was a fun concept. He’s also one of the few Kanto gym leaders with a decent team.

Johto: Clair. One of the few gym leaders that actually puts up a decent fight.

Hoenn: His Milotic is a nice challenge and he’s cute to boot.

Sinnoh: Her broken English and French phrases is so endearing. The fact they had speak some English phrases in the Japanese version is interesting as well.

Unova: Lenora. Her library themed gym was a lot of fun.

Kalos: Grant. He’s the only Kalos gym leader that was enjoyable to battle.

Alola: Mallow. She is so blasted adorable.

Galar: Kabu. His design gives me a lot of nostalgia for the older entries in the series. Probably because he’s from Hoenn.

I don't have much to say about most of these, I don't really care for the characters in Pokémon for the most part.

Brock, only because of his status as sort of a meme. Giovanni and Lt. Surge are cool too.
Clair, I guess... Silver was really the only interesting character from GSC, barring Red.
Norman's whole Dad dynamic thing is pretty cool and it's fun that you get to come back to his gym later on.
Crasher Wake was a pretty fun character, and I like how he comes into action when his city is being attacked. Volkner's not bad either.
Elesa being a model is interesting, I find it pretty cool and fitting that she changes style between BW and BW2.
...Clemont??? Most of XY's gym leaders are insanely forgettable.
I'm counting the Kommo-o trial because he's technically a trial captain. I find the Dragon trial to be interesting in general and I don't care too much for any of the trial captains.
Piers for sure, by far my favorite character I've mentioned here. Love his snarkiness and the fact that it's obvious that the thing closest to him is his younger sibling, feels really genuine.

Kanto: It's a toss up between Koga and Lt. Surge, the ninja and the soldier. I just like their personalities in the Pokémon adventures manga.
Johto: Morty. I really like ghost types, and his design just looks cool. And again, I like his personality in the manga.
Hoenn: Juan. Not only is his design cool, but he's both a gym leader and a coordinator. That's just cool.
Sinnoh: Both Roark and Byron, because I think it's really cool that a father and son are gym leaders at the same time.
Unova: Brycen looks freaking awesome, and is he seriously a movie star in the anime? That just seems so random and cool.
Kalos: Clemont. By far my favorite character in the Kalos anime.
Alola: Kahuna Nanu. His broody reluctant attitude is just fun. He doesn't want to be Kahuna, but he still takes the job pretty seriously.
Galar: I haven't played these games, so this is based solely on looks and very little information. I'm leaning towards Bede and Raihan. All of their designs look so cool and original though.

I don't think that I will be all that unique in my picks but here we go anyways.
Kanto: Blaine, he's a scientist who is powerful and not all nerdy. I respect the man.
Johto: Jasmine, Not only does she take the time to care for a poisoned ampharos, but she's also a steel type gym leader and steel is my favorite.
Hoenn: Norman. Not much to say, hes pretty normal. Norman is a power house with the strong Pokémon he keeps and him being your father just makes the whole journey and story so much more fulfilling.
Sinnoh: Candice, why? because ice bias
Unova: Iris because she is an amazing champion, but before that, she was an amazing gym leader.
Kalos: Clemont. I'm not to fond of any of the Kalos leaders, but Clemont had a good impression in the anime, and I like the idea that he built the kalos tower by himself.
Alola: Acerola. We don't hear much about royalty in Pokémon, yet having a royal being a young ghost girl with no sense of a fortune and loving every day is something I really enjoy.
Galar: Possibly one of the hardest to choose because they are all so amazing. If I had to leave out the obvious choice of Marine since you never actually fight her as a gym leader, I'd have to go with Bea. Her story and personality resonate with me on a personal level.

1- Erika: one of the chillest gym leaders around. Plus her episode of the original series was great. Simple but pretty design.

2- Bugsy: fun Pokémon and a surprising challenge when I was a kid, that scyther was no joke. Plus I honestly like the spidery design of the gym in HG.

3- Flannery: I love her design and Torkoal in general. Her gym got a pretty awesome makeover in the remakes and her personality makes me laugh. Flannery is my favorite gym leader overall.

4- Crasher Wake: water type was always handled with some level of fancy. I liked that they turned this concept on its head with Crasher Wake. His city is one of my favorite spots in Sinnoh and his general attitude makes me smile.

5- Burgh: he's really fun and I like the artistic take on a Gym Leader. Plus he uses Dwebble, one of my favorite Pokémon.

6- Ramos: though the gym leaders in gen 6 left something to be desired, I have a soft spot for Ramos for breaking the mold and being a proper older guy with a nice relatable hobby. His gym is actually pretty fun and nice looking as well.

7- Mina: She gets me maaaann ;) I like her design a lot and she made me like fairy types quite a bit more than I did. Her appreciation for a lesser loved 'mon like Granbull is just the cherry on top.

8- Raihan: Fun design (his phone is shiny!) and a great overall attitude. I also love that he brought with him a proper doubles gym and weather tactics. Gives me hope to one day see Gym leaders based on other concepts than just types. (Weather, specific stats, egg groups etc)
