As you know, contests have been in the Pokémon series since Generation 3, when all we had to do was appeal the contest judges, and shove Pokeblocks down our Pokémon's mouths.
In gen 4 (D/P/PT), there were 3 parts to a Pokémon competition, and they were:
1)The Visual- The part where you dress your Pokémon up fancy, depending on your accessories, and such.
2)Dance time!- The dance competition was pure dancing to the beat, and you really choose from Left, Right, Jump and Front, to match your opponents, and then when it was your turn, you made your own rhythm~!
    3) Last but not least was the Appeal, where you show the judges your moves!

So, which part of these contests were your favorite? Was it all of the parts? Or really was it just one?

I loved the Dancing Part of contests, as those items from the Visual made it look even better, and the choreography of those other trainers was amazing!

I loved the Dance competition part of the Pokémon Contest the most. It was a great way to incorporate the new mechanics the DS had to offer for Gen4 and it was so much fun! Using the touch screen to match the dance moves was really fun and I like how different types of contests had different dances. With tougher competition, the dances got really crazy, and I loved making up some of my own dances to troll with the NPCs. ^^''

I really liked the Dance feature. It was actually pretty unique, something I hadn't seen before. I liked the intricate things I could do with the moves, to piss of the NPCs, heh. Needless to say they pissed me off just as well.

That, or the visuals. I really loved that huge surge of satisfaction seeing a huge wave of hearts go across the bottom screen.

Well I liked all of it. the visual appeal portion was my least favorite, mostly because it didn't actually seem to be useful. The was the move portion, trying to mind game the computers and decide which move to use on who, Maybe if I was more competitive and smarter the dance would have appealed to me, but it was mostly me getting toasted by NPC's and having to make it up in the final round

I liked the Appeal section of the competition the best, followed by the Dance section, and lastly the Visual section. I liked ordering my moves to allow me to gain the most hearts per round. It's very satisfying to see things play out nicely for you when you do things right! As for the dance-off, I like rhythm games, so naturally I mostly had fun and excelled in this category. It was also fun to make up annoying dance moves and watch your opponents struggle. 8)

I liked the dancing section, it was very entertaining to me as I made my Pokémon move all manner of directions, but to me nothing beats the classic appeal stage, where you show off your various moves depending on the category. It always feels so tense here: will that Pokémon steal my judge, or will I get the crowd going wild? Those contests had me on the edge of my chair.

I liked the visual portion the best! It was a lot of fun for me to experiment with different ways to dress up my Pokémon whether it was to make them look absolutely hilarious or really darn appealing. I mean it didn't really do much since pokeblocks or poffins and such are what really affect the round, but the visual portion was fun for me!

I've always loved the appeal section, especially in the original Ruby and Sapphire when I could break out massive combos like Harden + Take Down to rack out a monstrous number of appeal hearts.

My favourite section would be the appeal section. I like how you can put a lot of strategy into it, en how even Pokémon that you normally don't really use become really useful here. I really love the appeal section, and this is probably the only reason why I even do contests. I also kind of like the dance section, but I don't really like the visuals section.
