So all you musicians, what's your favorite piece of music to play or perform? Is there a special reason for it?

Some of my favorite pieces to play are Summertime, Tempered Steel, and Hey Baby. Summertime was the first marching band song me and my year learned in ninth grade of high school, Tempered Steel is a super cool song my symphonic band played when we were seniors, and Hey Baby is the only song that was played in high school that I've played in college.

It generally varies based on what I've been playing recently and what instrument.

Saxophone: Moose the Mooche by Charlie Parker. Oh my god that song was fun to learn and it's exhilarating to play so damn fast.

Trumpet: Camino Del Sol, a song that I've been playing in school Concert Band, it has such an awesome sound and the first time I heard it it sounded like Toad's Factory from MK Wii.

Well, there are a bunch of songs that I love to play on my saxophone. Some of my favourites are Careless Whisper (of course), Bakers Street (of course), and Superstition. As for piano, I like to play basically any song that i know how to play, mainly EDM covers that I make myself.

Although I haven't played the flute in a long time, I've played this song on the xylophone and piano for warmups.
It's Lloyd Irving's original theme from tales of symphonia, and while giving a nostalgic sense of videogames in the band, it also sounds amazing every time I play it, and many people do stop by to hear me play it, haha.

The first and so far only song I've ever learned to play on a 10 hole ocarina is the japonese version of tapions theme. I had to learn it for a speech class of all things and it's honestly what I like to play, next I want to learn lugia's theme on the 12 hole ocarina I bought awhile back.

When I was self-teaching myself Piano a year ago or so, I taught myself by playing Midna's Lament as my main practice piece and it quickly became my favorite to play, not that there was much competition. Also, it's a very aesthetic song, and its solemn mood suits me well, so I didn't feel like I was unnaturally happy or angry playing it. It was just very "me", so it made a very good favorite piece for me to play.

Gently flowing, consistently rhythmic, and sounds like it might be difficult, despite an amateur like me being able to get most it down. The only part I couldn't get was when the left hand changed its pattern of six notes to six different notes. I think some extra black keys get thrown in there and that makes a C-Major piece like that get about ten times harder, and impossible for my skill level.
