Fun fact: Back when I was in elementary school, I was a Pokémon Kingpin.

True story: With help from my older brother, I had become the local Pokémon expert and trader. If people wanted something, they went to me. I had created an economy of sorts; people would pay me real money sometimes for things like legendaries or certain items (leftovers, mostly.) People would give me trades obviously weighed in my favor for things they wanted; for example, If someone wanted a growlith, I demanded at the least, two ekans and a nugget (or some other item of decent value). Then again, I made sure that it was at least a decent DV/IV spread depending, and they got a free pidgey out of it, so there was that. If someone tried to make light on a deal, I had "The Muscle", aka my friend Issac. He was one of those gentle giant types, but I taught him how to crack his knuckles, and no one ever thought about making light on a deal. I would notice that every once in a while, some other people started to threaten my throne, so I would either A: Make them a part of my enterprise or B: Have them 'Taken Care of.' I feel bad about a few of those; Up B Select was a combination I knew a bit too well... However, I only dealed with second gen and first gen, as I didn't own a copy of the third gen games until much later, and I couldn't trade my Pokémon up to it. Fortunately for buisness, no one else seemed to have them either.

There was this one time, where there were rumors of an underground syndicate trying to amass decent Pokémon. I had one simple rule about my reign: If someone beat me in a battle (Best 2/3, because random crits are fair and balanced), I would give up my title to them; I literally sent in spies bribed with the promise of Mews for each of them (I made true on these promises, mind you. I was the only guy in school that knew about the mew glitch, and anyone else who had one got it from me. Unfortunately for me, I didn't know the entire extent of it, only what my brother taught me. He told me of the insane prowess of some of the glitch Pokémon, and how to merge Pokémon using Q. Needless to say, I had a lot of fun with that :) ) Anyways, I found out they had assembled a team of 4 almost perfect Mewtwos, an almost perfect Alakazam, and a nearly perfect Starmie. So, I EV trained my already-level-100 Pokémon, fed them vitamins, etc.

Their team, despite my sources, was 2 Mewtwos, a Gengar, an Alakazam, a Starmie, and a Dragonite. They were close enough. We played Prime Cup rules, on Pokémon Stadium.

    My team was three Magikarps.

I won with little resistance. I had merged them all with an insane glitch Pokémon, with ridiculous stats, and had given them all great and illegal movesets. Everyone knew I did, in fact, not own a game genie or anything of the sorts, in fact, I had let someone search my entire house for such a device. They found nothing, because there was nothing to find. They knew there was something fishy both literally and metaphorically, but they had lost, and there was nothing they could do.

For better or for worse, I moved away; I entrusted one of my several copies of Pokémon Silver to one of my underlings, containing many good Pokémon, but I kept the best for myself. AKA, the magikarps, Mewtwos for when I wanted to get serious, and some other stuff. I also left him instructions on the trade secrets, and some other things I had learned. Unfortunately, no one at this new school played Pokémon except one kid; That kid is my best friend to this date. I blew his mind with my expertise, and he kept me updated on Pokémon news such as the release of the 4th gen games and other stuff. It was fun while it lasted, and to this day I wonder what became of my business. Ah well, it's all behind me now.

My favorite memory of Pokémon would be the first time I defeated the Pokémon League in one of the games, the sad part is it was a few months after the games Pokémon X and Y came out.

Finally beating Liza and Tate in Pokémon Emerald--the whole state could've heard my victory cry when I finally beat them with two Flying types.

My favourite Pokémon experiences have to be the first time I beat the Elite Four and the first time I ever caught a Legendary Pokémon.

Alright, so my first time challenging the Elite Four is first.
Back then, I was only ten years old and I barely spoke English, so it took me a loooong time to get through my first Pokémon game ever (Pokémon Diamond). I didn't know how to play properly back then, so I only really used my starter Pokémon, a Torterra named Female (the symbol by the way, not the word - he's male, so I don't even know why I named him like that lol). My brother had obtained a Pokémon Diamond game as well, but because he was lazy (and did not know how to play the game just like me), he sent me his Chimchar to train. By now, I know how things work with traded Pokémon that are overleveled on your team: they won't listen to you. I was very lucky to have beaten the game before his Chimchar could stop obeying me, lol.
In the end, I challenged the Elite Four with a team I called the Elite Six (ha ha, how creative): my Torterra, my brother's Chimchar (now an Infernape), my brother's Dialga, my Azelf and Uxie... and I forgot which Pokémon was sixth, oops. I was on a holiday with my family and it was late in the night. My brother was asleep in the bed next to me and if my parents were to catch me playing on my DS "late at night", I'd probably get punished... still, I couldn't contain my excitement, and I was so happy when I finally managed to beat Cynthia! (I remember using Uxie for that, she had slaughtered the other Pokémon in my team, oops).

The other happy memory is the memory of me catching Dialga, my first Legendary Pokémon ever.
Because I understood so little of the game (I knew Earthquake was a very strong move and used that 24/7 on all Pokémon), I ended up killing Dialga in my own game, but lucky for me, my brother still had Pokémon Diamond as well! I returned him his Infernape just for this occasion and I told him how to head over to Primal Tower (or whatever that place is called, I forgot the name, oops). Just like I liked to KO my enemies with Earthquake, my brother liked to KO enemies using Close Combat. In the fight with Dialga, I had him use that as well... we were literally yelling at it not to die as we saw its HP bar drop... it stopped at one pixel-width of HP left! We were so happy! We used the Master Ball to catch it (remember, we barely spoke English back then so we didn't know it had a 100% capture rate) and spent the rest of the day celebrating.
I believe I claimed the Dialga pretty fast, lol.

My favorite Pokémon related memory was playing Pokémon Snap when it was first released. I loved taking pictures of the weird and wonderful creatures and exploring the island. It took me ages to find out about the Dragonite and Gyarados in the Valley. Imagine my surprise when I unlocked Mew by accident. Man, I think my brother still has some trouble hearing.
