Favorite Pokemon Lore

I'm not a huge fan of the Pokémon world's lore in general, actually. A lot of the fanfiction community has built up an excellent image of the world, but as far as I've seen of Pokémon universe (mind you I only play the games, no anime or manga for me) is actually pretty meagre.

 

I liked the lore about the Sinnoh Lake Trio.

 

The ones that are fleshed out the most... But I like the legend of the burnt tower and the birth of Raikou, Entei, and Suicune the most I think. c:

 

Most legendary Pokémon have a nice lore leading to their reason for existence, and I like that. It's nice to know the story behind a Pokémon, powerful enough to achieve the title of "legendary"

 

There is this lore in the Canalave liberary somewhere. It says that there was a point in time where humans and Pokémon didn't look any different and even got married xD
I like this one so much

 

I honestly like the lore behind the dragons in the Unova region the most. Probably because history sort of repeats itself with the black and white dragons choosing their new heroes, plus the whole mythos behind them to begin with. It's one of the things that makes BW my favorite game, haha.

 

Manaphy and the People of the water, idk but I loved this movie so much as a kid and the lore has kinda stuck with me.

 

The creation mythos.

Pokémon's world lore draws from a number of different philosophies, religions, and myths to create a surprisingly detailed story of creation. Sinnoh gave us the beginning of the universe, with Arceus emerging from the primordial chaos and creating the gods of time, space, and antimatter (the last of which was "banished for its violence"). Sinnoh also tells of how Uxie, Mespirit, and Azelf created life by bestowing the gifts of knowledge, emotion, and willpower (presumably with the help of Xerneas and Yveltal). Hoenn tells of the formation of the world, with Groudon raising continents, Kyogre creating oceans, and Rayquaza shrouding the world in air. Unova tells of the fracturing of wisdom, how an ancient disaster shattered Kyumren (now representing the absence of wisdom) into Reshiram (truth) and Zekrom (ideals). And it just keeps going - the birth of the legendary birds and beasts, the thunder trio, the roles of Cresselia and Darkrai... there's just so much.

Sinnoh has the best legends, especially the one surrounding Arceus and all its creations.

 

I absolutely adore Reshiram's Tale. The Blue Eyed White Dragon of Truth (and fire!) vs The Red Eyed Black Dragon of Ideals (and thunder!).

 

Sinnoh's lore is my favorite of any region by far! It just seems like such a mysterious region, I love it!

 

I also really like the story with the legendaries of Sinnoh. Dialga and Palkia are two of the coolest legendaries out there and when mixed with Arceus, Giratina, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf (Lake Valor yay!) you come out with some great lore about the creation of the world.

 

I really like this one as well. It intrigued me quite a bit.
