Favorite Season of the Anime?

I really liked the Battle Frontier season the most. For me, it had the best theme song, battles, and plot line. I found it really interesting to see how the Battle Frontier worked in the anime, and again, those battles were really intense! It was kind of funny to see Ash lose a couple of times. =p

 

Battle Frontier. There were some cool battles, and it was refreshing to see Ash actually win some sort of league.

 

I'd have to say the first season, if just for nostalgia's sake. It was funny, sad, creepy... even deep and rather touching at times. Though I do also like the second season.

 

I loved the first season the most. I enjoyed it a lot more than the episodes nowadays for some unknown reason.

 

For me it is a tie between the first season and Diamond and Pearl. While the Hoenn adventures were great, the first season had so much diversity, sometimes sad, sometimes comedic, sometimes horrying (Sabrina scared the hell out of me as a kid). I also liked Diamond and Pearl because of Dawn. She was a really cool travelling companion for Ash and probably my favourite out of everyone including Misty.

 

I'm just going to say that I haven't watched a lot of the Pokémon anime. In fact, I've only seen part of the gen I and II anime, and only a few episodes from the other generations. But I have been watching all of the X&Y anime, and I have to admit that it's really good. I'm more used to other anime, but I can really enjoy watching the Pokémon anime now as well. So yeah, I must say that my favorite Pokémon season is the X&Y one.

 

I can't even remember all the season that I've watched xD But I recently got back into the anime, thanks to the X/Y arc, so I'm gonna say that's the best one for getting me back into the anime

 

I would have to say the first season, mostly because of nostalgia and the fact that my favorite character is Misty, so of course I'd be partial to seasons where she is present.

 

Right now my favorite season is Pokémon XY due to the character development and the fast pacing I've been seeing within 40 episode.

 

Loved Hoenn more than you'll know. May's character development really got me by the end of the saga and she was a very cute character overall. Owning some of my favorite Pokémon of course earned her some brownie points along the way but in the end it was mainly because I adored the story and characters/rivals. Drew and Harley were awesome, then there was Team Rocket who was actually tolerable.

Unova is great too, mostly for the Pokémon, Cilan, and overall region design. But X/Y has been slowly climbing its way up for me too (Clemont hehe).

 

5th season, because .... you know.... nostalgia

 

I would have to say my favorite season is the first one, but only because it's the one I grew up with, and the only one I've watched in depth (over and over again, I might add).

I also liked what I did see of the Advanced Generation series. But I completely stopped watching whenever Dawn came in. (nothing against Dawn, it was because everyone got a new voice actor and I couldn't take it )

 

Battle Frontier. It had a great theme song, and a TON of ContestShipping moments

 

Sinnoh League Victors had the best battles out of any season of Pokémon so far. Ash vs. Tobias and Ash vs. Paul were two of the best battles I think that I have ever seen.

 

The first season isn't really my favorite, but it's diversity and the overall strangeness of it (Giant Pokémon, anyone?) gives it special mention. I really liked a lot of the Advanced Gen and Battle Frontier, as well as Sinnoh up until Tobias. He both seemed cheap to me, and it brought back painful memories of Pokémon Heroes... I feel like they dishonored my favorite movie by giving him a Latios. Although it finally gave a legitimate picture of how strong Pikachu and his other Pokémon are supposed to be. I was a bit miffed that Ash repeatedly lost to Paul, but that could be dealt with. Just couldn't take Tobias.

Eventually I got tired of the developers repeatedly nerfing Ash's Pokémon, particularly Pikachu, beyond belief. I know it helps keep younger audiences in and he does bring back some of his veterans like Charizard occasionally, but I just lost interest. Tried to watch XY, but the Surskit fight made me lose all hope, although that bit with the Garchomp was pretty decent overall. I'm actually wondering if they are going to do a return to Hoenn with ORAS eventually, I know I'd like to see some more Hoenn.

 

Sinnoh is my favorite because it introduced my two favorite Pokémon and gave them important roles, Gliscor & Gible.

 

I loved the Unova seasons so much, that was the only arc where I've watched the most.I loved Iris and Cilan as supporting charterers, and I loved the fact they had old charterers that Ash says he'll see again, reoccur. My favorite season was when Cynthia reappeared.
