Favorite Video Game Series Soundtrack As A Whole

I really liked the Golden Sun soundtrack minus a 2 of the songs which are depressing and slightly eargrinding. also I love the Pokémon soundtracks, and want to buy all the super music collections, sadly that probably won't happen though.

 

My favorite music in games are from the Super Mario Galaxy games. They are very well done and I listen to them often.

 

I think out of all the video games I've played, Donkey Kong Country was by far the most entrancing. I remember playing on my snes with my older sister and we would just lie down and listen to the music on the underwater stages on pause, until we got bored and tried to go through the level without dying. The soundtrack brings back so many memories that I always get warm and fuzzy nostalgia feels. The series as a whole has beautiful and engaging soundtracks that I just can't seem to get out of my head sometimes. They are all so connected to nature in a way, with each stage having its own kind of feel to it. Overall, the Donkey Kong Country series soundtrack is my absolute favorite, and I hope that others can also get the chance to listen to it as well.

 

I really enjoy the OST from corpse party it gets more thrilling in each chapter in the game.​

 

Galaxy was very well done, but Legend of Zelda still has my heart. They were also very well done, and incredibly nostalgic. I've played many games in the series and the soundtracks to the games are always very well made. My personal favorite is Realm Overworld from Spirit Tracks, I can just listen for hours...

 

I second Mario (as a whole) and Zelda (as a whole, and add Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy as a whole--even the newer games have some good stuff

 

I absolutely love the Zelda and Pokémon soundtracks, but I think my favourite soundtrack would be Bravely Default. The battle themes are so epic, and the music in towns and dungeons are beautifully composed as well.

 

I'm a bit of a junglist (someone who listens or makes "Jungle" music, an offshoot of breakbeat, breakcore, or drum n bass) and my first experience was with the Bomberman Hero soundtrack. The songs were a little choppy, but they still have a bit of a hold on me. I love them despite their choppyness. Example!

But if I had to choose something better, then maybe Banjo-Kazooie or Super Smash Bros.

 

I would have to say that my favorite is the Legend of Zelda, but Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky takes an extremely close second place.

 

I've grown partial to Legend of Zelda (wind waker the most) and Bravely Default, both having very memorable soundtracks. But my favorite music is from the Okami series. The music is so beautiful and really helps present the emotion of the scene before you, Rising Sun is just absolute gold and I listen to it all the time.

 

I could name a lot of games with amazing soundtracks, but if it had to be a serie then it's a tad harder. While the first game in the Bravely serie had an amazing soundtrack I fear the same can't be said for the upcoming 2nd one now when it won't be Revo who compose for it. In other series I can find some singular games with amazing soundtracks and the rest doesn't so that makes it hard to pick, I could go with the Legend of Zelda serie as many others here have.

 

Lots of awesome Pokémon music, lots of epic Zelda soundtracks... The Gerudo Valley soundtrack is still my favorite music of all games. But I have to go with my nostalgia and choose Donkey Kong 64. Seriously, that game has some epic music! Lots of different themes, varying from an Aztec theme to a haunted toyfactory soundtrack. The boss battle soundtracks are really cool, and I can't get enough of it sometimes

 

oh yeah I remeber a game serie that really need to be mentioned from me., that is Ar Tonelico. While the games ost is bland most of the time it got hella amazing songs that I love to death. It got some really awesome boss themes and dungeon songs.

also love a lot of the Kirby soundtracks

 

What i also like is Pokémon Black and White. N's theme is when they started using instrumental for a Main character in a Pokémon game.​

 

Wouldn't say its my favorite, but Halo's is epic.

 

I quite like the Pokémon soundtracks in each game. The battle background sound is appropriate and fits the mood even when it's repetitive. You hardly notice that you've been humming the same tune over and over. The Mass Effect series also contains a good soundtrack, even when in a nightclub you feel the atmosphere of really being there (I wish!), and people who worked on that score deserve a pat on the back. It's strange to say but normally I don't pay attention to the music that a game produces. I'm always focused on the game that I forget to take everything in. Maybe I should slow down sometimes and admire the handiwork of the creators of the game..

 

If we were talking about individual games, I'd be tied between Bravely Default and Xenoblade Chronicles. However, since we're talking about series, I'm gonna have to go with Ace Attorney. The court themes make arguments really fun.

...Though the Touhou games have some amazing hidden gems as well... Yeah, that'll take second.

Just so beautiful, and live music is gud music. 10/10 would recommend

 

I love all of the music from all of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games. Possibly because they're so extremely nostalgic to me (I played these games more than anything ever) but they all sound wonderful and fit well into the game.
I also love the Minecraft tunes; Subwoofer Lullaby will always have a special place in my heart.

Excuse me for choosing all the obvious games but I'm struggling to think of anything else right now, perhaps i'll come back later.
