I don't really know. I tend to think more in songs or artists, than I do in genres. I love a lot of the country music that played when I was growing up, but new stuff... not so much. I also like some of the music coming out today, but... well it really depends on the song's message.
Electronica all the way! Interestingly enough, I wasn't always this way; growing up I was listening to more hip-hop/rap than anything else. Once I discovered EDM though, it totally transformed my life and it's the genre that I listen to primarily to this day.
I used to never know what to say when people asked me what music I like. Then I started using Pandora, which helped me figure that out. I guess there's something I like from just about every genre, but I think that Alt/Folk Rock are probably my favorites. I listen to classic and metal a lot too because those two things make sense together? Sometimes those genres will sort of cross over into pop and I think that's probably what I end up listening to most, just because it plays the most frequently.
Metal (specifically folk, doom, and 70s/80s metal. Don't listen to much outside of those subgenres anymore) and Rock (60s and 70s rock, and stoner/hard psychedelic rock), and most types of music from the 60s (soul, sunshine pop, etc). I also love Electro Swing and Synthwave.
I mainly enjoy pop, alternative, and electronic music. Especially if any of the three have piano and/or violin accompaniment.
For me the main ones are pop, rock, EDM and Alternative. Though most of my favorite songs are definitely alternative and EDM.
