Have you guys seen Toy Story 2? Remember the scene where Woody was being fixed? Now that's how you please an audience. It's sooo satisfying, and I believe it's a form of ASMR. Basically, it tingles your senses. Howl's Moving Castle - when Howl and Sophie met, walked on air, and essentially the scenes where Howl's theme plays. It's so romantic and feely! His theme always matches the vibe of the scenes. <3 And of course, one simply cannot forget about the food scenes in Studio Ghibli films - when Chihiro's parents ate, Sophie and Howl prepare breakfast, the ramen scene in Ponyo...
That bit in Shaun of the Dead where they're fighting zombies to Don't Stop me Now by Queen. Also agreed about the food scenes in Studio Ghibli films!
aa i was just about to mention ive seen spirited away at least 5 times, but everytime that scene comes on with chihiro and kohaku in the flower garden the morning after her first night.... she starts to cry and the iconic piano music plays and i lose it every time.
All of the Toy Story movies had really good scenes that just make you feel - whether good, like when Woody is restored, or bad, like when Buzz realizes that he is just a toy. That's part of what makes it such an enduring trilogy (more so than even the original Star Wars trilogy, IMO, and I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan). One of my favourite scenes in Gundam Wing is the Battle of Siberia. Just everything in that battle is great; even though you know the Gundams are losing, they just keep going. The duel between Wing and Talgeese, Une's desperation, the reaction of the Gundam pilots to their homes being held hostage, Doctor J's surprising appearance, Heero's self-detonation... it was definitely one of the defining moments of the series.
