There are alot of pokèmon fan games out there, but which one is your favourite? and If you have made or could make your own fan game what would or is it about? (please include link so I could check it out)

Just to make it clear I'm not talking about rom hacks but complete games for PC. (Like Pokèmon zeta and omicron, Pokèmon Uranium or Pokèmon Insurgence).

Honestly, I'd rather make my own, and I have the software to do it. I just think the whole trainer's way of fighting with Pokémon needs some diversity and alternatives. I'm not just talking the talk, either. Here's a game I'm making in RPG Maker VX Ace that I've been working on since January:

^ Everything you hear in this video was handmade. I'm a sound designer and I think sound is one of the least appreciated aspects of a video game.

I want to make a Pokémon game that plays like this but sadly, I'm short on art skills and I'd need some help if this is to be a thing.

*looks up Pokémon Zeta, Omicron, Uranium, and Insurgence*

Ooooooohhhhh. This stuff is pretty awesome.

I played one a while back that I think was a full 493 game (at the time). I don't remember the title, but the goal of this game was to actually catch 'em all, and once you got 492, an actual boss battle with Arceus would happen. In a way that is impossible in any existing (official) Pokémon game, Arceus was equipped with every Plate, each of which had to be knocked out with a SE attack before he could even be damaged. That is a boss battle, not this silly "Oh, you have a team of six level 35 pokes? Here's a level 40 Kyogre to fight". Pfft. I want real boss battles.

I'm going to see if I've still got that game somewhere on my computer and find its name, but in the mean time I'm going to go ahead and say Zeta, Omi etc. And then I'm going to play all 4 or 5 to some extent.

I don't know if this counts, but I found Pokémon Snakewood rather interesting.

Definitely Pokemon Reborn! It's the most extensive fan game I've ever played, and while it's not complete yet there is a ton of content that is already complete and playable. It's a lot more difficult than the canon Pokémon games, which is something that may appeal to folks who enjoy competitive play.

(Just a note for those who might want to try playing it, though, it's very dark and morbid compared to the canon games. This is actually something that I really love about it, but I wanted to mention it as a warning for those who may not be into that sort of thing.)
