Just curious if anyone here loves a Pokémon from a type they dislike. For me the Ghost-Type is one of my least favourite types, which is kinda odd because I'm fascinated by the supernatural in real life. I just don't find most Ghost-Type mons interesting design-wise. But with that being said there are a small handful of Ghosties I do like, but my absolute favourite has got to be Mismagius. Never used one before, but I think it has an amazing design. I'd love to use one someday, perhaps when Diamond and Pearl remakes come out.
Sceptile from the grass typed Pokémon, I just don't like the fact that grass types have so many weaknesses
The fairy type never really did it for me. I'm glad game freak added it into the series for the sake of balance and variety, but as a type it just comes off as somewhat out of place and odd to me. I'm really not into a lot of fairy-type Pokémon design-wise, and most of the Pokémon that got a type switch to fairy didn't really need it in my opinion; they were only switched to fill up the fairy roster. Of the fairy types, my favourite is a tie between Togekiss and Clefable, the former falling into that category of "not needing to be a fairy type". I can forgive it because thematically, it made a lot more sense than some other old Pokémon that got a fairy switch. Clefable was a welcome addition to the fairy type. Looking at it simply though, I just don't really like the fairy type at all. My favourite Pokémon from it are all older Pokémon that got a type switch, and none of the new Pokémon that are fairy type look interesting to me, mostly because a lot of them just do what specially-defensive psychic types did before.
I dislike rock and steel types mostly because they're just really gimmicky to me, and are only good for certain situations. A lot of rock and steel types have awful stats, too. That being said, my favorite rock type is Midnight Form Lycanroc. I love the werewolf concept, and its design just screams badass to me. I also really, really like Lileep and Cradily. Those two are hella slept on, but I think they have a really cool typing and are adorable! As for steel types, Excadrill immediately takes the cake. It's pretty fast and it hits hard! Empoleon is another one, but that's mostly because it's my favorite starter in general. Still, it has a sick typing and its design is so awesome. And finally, Escavalier. I've never used one personally (although I've always wanted to), but I think the jousting knight concept is super cool.
Never cared much for Normal typing...I mean sure you end up using Pokémon of that typing in pretty much every play through, even if it is temporary, but they have no real advantages offensively. That being said one of my favorite Pokémon of all time is Meloetta...it saddens me that she is part Normal but her design is good enough to make up for it imo.
I don’t like bug types specifically because I don’t like bugs in real life, but I think Scolipede and Leavanny are pretty cute!
Bug cause they are easy to take out My favorite bug Pokémon though would have to be Dwebble it's cute enough.
Rock Pokémon, in all their offense and defense kinda... suck. So many common weaknesses, it actually makes me sad. That being said, I love Tyrantrum. We'd been wanting a T rex mkn for years and Tyrantrum did not disappoint.
Normal types are definitely my least fav, they're not very interesting to me usually. But I must say that the Porygon line has always been among my favs, they're so weird and I like them for it
Least favorite type? Uh...probably Fairy. They are nice in being another counter to dragons and other gameplay things, but to me they're too...pink. In spite of that, Florges is my personal favorite fairy type. She tanks special attacks like a trooper.
I'm not a huge fan of water types just because there are so many and they're EVERYWHERE. My favorite would probably have to be Kingdra, but Milotic is a close second.
My least favourite type is Fire, but interestingly, I do have quite a few favourites from that type! Ho-Oh Charmander Cyndaquil Quilava Vulpix Chandelure Volcarona Growlithe Arcanine
Ice types also kinda suck defensively, but I'll always have a soft spot for Articuno. Yes, I know it's well past its prime, yes I know it has a crippling weakness to Stealth Rocks, but I love my majestic ice bird.
