Fiction has an uncanny knack for showing us fantasied technology that later becomes a reality. From flat-screen TVs to smart watches that you can use to answer phone calls with, what other, once made-up technology and devices do you think we'll see in the years to come?

I'm really hoping to see flying cars in the future, however, there are hoverboards that are being developed nowadays, so we're probably going to see those soon.

    Anyone watched Sword Art Online?

For those of you who don't, that's known as a NerveGear. You strap it on your head, lie down, then yell "LINK START", and then your mind is manipulated to make it seem like you're actually in wherever the game is, with full sensory immersion. It's perfectly safe and not dangerous I promise.

I'd hope to see something like this because it would be so cool! You could literally simulate being wherever you wanted! It would be pure unspeakable amounts of awesome! (Most likely very expensive and risky awesome, though...)
