Filling the 'Dex

On most I usually try then fail, but actually for Black 2 I'm trying to fill it up 100% possible. I've already gotten like over a hundred boxed or something which is pleasing.

 

I've only ever completed the PokéDex in my Emerald version, and even then I was missing a couple event 'mons I wasn't able to get. I've completed the regional PokéDex in Pearl, Heartgold, and Black, though. I don't think I've completed a National 'Dex since Gen 3.

I am planning on completing the National 'Dex in my White 2 game, though. I desperately want the Shiny Charm (as a breeder and shiny collector, it's a dream come true), plus it will be a fun challenge.

 

my National Dex for White Version is : Seen 537 ----- Obtained 351

My Unova Dex is: Seen 152 ----- Obtained 92

the only 2 that I am missing from the Unova Dex is 135 and 136

 

I filled the Unova dex on black and doing it on white2 doesn't sound all that appealing right now... my friend is a feebas and milotic away from getting his emerald done, which has taken him quite a long time. All other games I haven't really done squat with Pokédex. I like battling better

 

The first time I got Black 2 I really wanted to complete the Pokédex so I tried to catch every Pokémon in each new area. But then I ended up restarting the game so that I could play again with a new team. I really want to fill it up, the new habitats list makes it 10 times more fun, but there's just so many team combinations that I want to keep restarting and playing again XD

 

The only Dex(s) I've completed are Hoenn and Unova.
I have never completed the National Dex from any of the games. I just don't have the motivation to do it since I'll only get a piece of paper as a reward.
But there's the Shiny Charm or whatever it is in BW2 so I'll see if I can catch 'em all this time.

 

Replaying HeartGold now so I can get some rare Pokes for my Black 2. I'm really dedicated to that beautiful game. <3

 

I usually try to catch as many Pokémon as possible after finishing the main story/defeating the Elite 4 but I've never actually completed a Pokédex :< Never had anyone to trade and didn't manage to get event Pokémon

 

I completed the Pearl National Dex with help to the Pokémon Ranch and various other spinoff games, and only completed the regional dex (barring Meloetta) in White version.

I really want to be able to find shinies easier so I'm trying to fill the Pokédex and National Dex in White 2 (the charms and Haxorus are too alluring~ X3). But some of these Pokémon they want you to find is inconvient so I'm doing this off and on... TwT

 

I went through the game and before I realized it my Pokédex was half full. I guess that's because I got Pokémon from trade, wild, and the dream world. The only ones that I failed miserably to catch were the legendary unova trio.

It tooks me 8 years to collect all Pokémon...I got them from various Pokémon games and specials like Pokémon Channel
I'm very proud of them all
My oldest Pokémon is Umbreon he will be 10 years this sommer

 

Usually don't bother to do it in ROM's, but I always try it in the main games. I'm even trying it on White 2, even though it's complete on Black 2 (Seems kind of pointless since I'll end up restarting White 2 in time, but still...)

I don't why, but it just feels satisfying having a full up Pokédex, it's something I've always liked. I also like having my PC boxes full up with Pokémon opposed to being empty, it just feels a lot better, like you have achieved something. Not to forget you get medals for it in Black 2 & White 2.

 

I don't call much for 'dex filling. I mean, it's really nice as bragging rights, but it's so much hassle to me.

 

I don't try to fill the dex really. I try to catch every wild Pokémon I see but I don't bother evolving them unless I really want to. I prefer trying to complete the game then getting a strong team and doing wifi battles

 

I did a lot of dex filling in Soulsilver. I lacked a lot of 3rd gen ones, though, so that whole area was like a no man's land between the 4th and 2nd generations. Obviously Gamefreak was expecting people to migrate all their third gen Pokémon. I had caught most 1st and 2nd gen Pokémon, though, and the 4th gen was filling up.

 

I try to fill my Pokédex mainly because i like telling people that i have beaten the game 100% which is why i do every event every little detail battle every trainer in game and get every item available

 

I've never really completed the dex in any of my games, but recently I've now been trying to complete it because I feel like I should've done this a long time ago, but could never be bothered. And now I have about 130 Pokémon in the nat dex and still trying to get some more.
