Filling the Void RP

"I am so sorry to interrupt. But I have some documents from Professor Elm for an Aurea Juniper?" A brunette came walking to the talking people. She had her hands wrapped tightly around the strap of her one-shoulder backpack. She looked a little nerveus to be there, but gave a smile nonetheless.

She didn't look like the quinessential trainer, but the Moon ball on her belt would show everyone otherwise.

"I am Daphne Elderwood. I think Elm had called about it before hand, but he is a bit of an airhead, so I am not entirely sure he did." She rummaged through one of the main compartments of her pack. Pulling out the desired papers, Daphne grinned and handed over the documents.

 

A Gligar jump down from a nearby roof and landed on Morrigan. His intent was to balance on him in a ninja pose, but failed to get in position in time and ended up slamming the both of them into the ground, with the Spritzee under him.
"There you are Monroe!" said a male voice from behind Elfean. The boy walked up and picked up the Gligar who was apparently named Monroe. "Quit going on the roofs. You know I can't follow you up there!"
Gligar just licked the boy across the face. "Gli!"

 

"Um, is your Spritzee alright? Getting squashed must have been horrifying." Daphne studied the little Fairy with a trained eye and nodded after a minute satisfied with the condition the Spritzee was in. Only then she turned to look at Elfean.

"It is nice to make your acquaintance, Elfean." The auburn haired girl nodded friendly at the male.

"Where are you from if I may ask? I can't place the slight accent that you possess. I am from Johto, by the way." She quickly added after her question.

 

(CG was the ninja...)
"Hey, I am really sorry about that, but Monroe here likes high places and I can't always follow him up to keep an eye on him. I'm Arno Calarten."

 

(Well now I changed his dialogue a bit so he doesn't say that.)

"I came for the musicals. I always loved performing in contests back in Hoenn, but the musicals in Nimbasa just have something about them that can't keep me away. Monroe feels the same way I do." Monroe nodded in agreement.

 

"Contests are a huge thing at the moment in Johto. I loved to go and watch them sometimes when I had a day off from work." Daphne quipped up. The girl fiddles with the ball on her belt. She took off her pack and set it on the ground as she was sure that Juniper would be busy with the files she had given her for some time and she needed to call the lab back in Johto to confirm everything was in order.

"Would either of you mind of I let out my partner? She wasn't allowed in the airplane due to her size and she must be dying of boredom right now." Daphne looked a little sheepishly as she hadn't thought to do it sooner.

 

Finally reaching the other end of Route 1 and entering Nuvema Town, Aurik was completely out of breath. From Undella Town to Nuvema Town, there were apparantly no shortcuts, so he had to walk/run the whole way. It didn't help that he had a somewhat... big figure. His partner Pokémon, on the other hand, was feeling fine and still raring to go. The little Swablu landed on his shoulder and chirped at him in an almost determined fashion, to motivate him.

"Y... yeah... y-your right. We're almost there.... j-just give me... one... second..." He says, still out of breath, leaning on a nearby tree. After several seconds, he takes his hand off the tree, ready to go again, albeit barely. "Ok... I'm ok... let's go."

As they made it outside the lab, they see that a few other trainers and their Pokémon were outside as well. "A Gligar, and a Spritzee... those aren't from around here..." He said to himself, though he was talking a bit louder than he thought he was. The Swablu was looking at the rest of them curiously, too. "This must be somewhat important, C9..."

He looks near the entrance to the lab to see the ever so lovely Professor Juniper at the window, which quickly excited him. "Oh, hiii!" He quickly ran up to the window and waved. "It's me, Aurik! Remember me from a few years back?!" The Swablu did what some people could interpret as sighing and flew down off of Aurik's shoulder to introduce herself to other Pokémon.

 

"Sure." said Arno. "I promise Monroe won't fall on them. And yes, I have performed in Fallarbor a few times, but you need to be specific as to what contest you're talking about."

 

Making his way down route 1, Taidana glanced around lazily, taking note of the different Pokémon that were passing by.

'Hm, some Lillipup's? Surprised to see them out in the open without a Herdier nearby." As he assessed the movements of the Lillipup's, a yawn slipped its way out of him alerting the group of Lillipup's to his presence and causing them to go deeper into the grass. Scoffing, Taidana glanced forward again, taking note of how close his destination has become while he was distracted.

Shrugging his right shoulder slightly, he pulled the strap of his travel pack up ensuring it was back in place, after all can't be allowing anything important to get damaged because he was too lazy to make sure the back was strapped on right. As he got closer to the building he couldn't help the raise of a brow as he took notice of the young, while they may be considered adults he still viewed them as a young bunch, group of individuals outside making conversation.

Groaning at the prospect of possibly dealing with unforeseen conversation, he began to drag his feet while trying to seek out the woman he was looking for, only to give a lazy grin when he caught sight of her talking to someone else. Straightening up as he approached, he raised a hand in polite, yet false, apology. "Hey, sorry to interrupt your conversation, Professor but I'm Professor Taidana Kumo, I was told you could help me with some prospective research topics here in Unova to do with my field."

 

"Wow, how many people are coming?" Arno wondered aloud. Monroe was already having a nice conversation with the new Swablu arrival; probably talking about flying or something of the sort, as it seemed to be the only thing they had in common.

 

A young boy exited his house in Nuvema Town, and walked over to the lab until he noticed the small crowd of people gathering in the front. Zachary quietly walked up to the group, but stopped a good distance between them. He had been given permission from his parents to ask about getting a Pokédex, but he didn't want to go right into the group, so he stood by the sidelines, playing with his hands in anxiety and anticipation as he waited for the people to disperse. His Nincada was standing besides him and rubbed against him in an attempt to console him, but the boy still felt off. He just hoped they left soon...

 

After waving at Professor Juniper for a good 3 minutes, Aurik turns around to see the group has nearly doubled in size. He noted another professor, some a kid that kind of looks like a ninja sitting in a corner with a Nincada, and another guy who's Houndoom was sniffing all over the place. Even more notable to him was that he doesn't remember those being a common Pokémon in the Unova region, either.

"So many people from all around... what could the professor possibly want?" He said quietly to himself.

The Swablu continued to what could seem like conversating with "Monroe", as his trainer called him, until the other trainers arrived with their Pokémon. She chirps and waves her fluffy wing at him before she flies over to the Nincada. She hasn't quite seen a Pokémon like it before, and her curiosity ends up with her getting in it's personal space.

 

"Oh, it suddenly filled up quite a bit." Daphne looked at the crowd with wide eyes. Clutching the ball in her hands, she took a deep breath and let out her partner. The alternately colored Ninetales appeared in a flash. The first thing the Fire-type did was shake out her fur and stare at her trainer.

"I am sorry, Lucina. I forgot you must have been bored to tears after staying in your ball for so long." The girl patted her Ninetales on the head, and the fox crooned at her trainer. It was the fox's way of saying the trainer had been forgiven.
