I haven't played Final Fantasy in a long time. I liked 6, 7, 9,10, 12, and 14. I used to play 14 like crazy back before the Storm Blood expansion came about, but I haven't played it since when I started getting low on subscription funds and had to cancel it. Still not sure about 15, honestly. My brother has been forcing me to play it, but because of that I haven't been able to find any enjoyment in it. Sorry Noctis fans.
I haven't played 8, but I did watch it. And from my point of view, I can see it being a very good game. The character designs were cool, the locales were interesting, the story was complex but not too brain-numbing; You even got to go into SPACE. Sadly, I wasn't able to play it since I was young at the time and my parents eventually found out about age ratings...
I didn't mean you specifically, though I highly recommend it. It's available on Steam and doesn't require a high level of computer resources. I just meant that there are a LOT of FF7 fanboys, and many, if not all of them, trash 8 as being worse, when in reality it's just a different experience. Sure, it has problems, but 7 had problems too and that didn't stop people from liking it.
