Group RP Fire Emblem Pre-Awakening RP

Across the realms, in valm, a slender figure leaned against the wall of her cottage. Well, cottage was far too generous a term- it was more like a shack or a hovel. More walls than roof and always threatening to be blown down at the first good gust.
Morrighan let out an unhappy sigh as she took in her only material processions that she had to leave behind. Not that it mattered- soon her name would be on a list and soon after that- her head on a pike.
"What was an emperor to a god? What was a god, to a nonbeliever?" She murmured, intentionally misquoting. Morrighan pushed herself away from the Wall, eyes scanning to make sure everything of importance was hidden or stowed in her bag. She nodded in approval before turning to the door and her back to the shack she might never see again.

 

Majora prepared for the next round. He had just been woken up from his chambers, instructed to get dressed and go into the armory. Two weeks ago, he had been wandering near Regina Ferox's borders when he was kidnapped by a group of Khans and brought to Arena Ferox, to fight and serve as a gladiator against multiple warriors, with multiple rounds in a set, and multiple sets in a match. The rules in his matches weren't the traditional rules, meaning that the winner did not rule over any side of the Khan territory. Instead, the survivor just gets to live another day, continuously forced to fight for entertainment. Somehow, Majora had managed to survive, at least at the time. Now, as he entered the Arena, he saw three other teams, and two people coming to join him. It seems as if this match was a 3v3v3v3. Well, he didn't want to die, so he had to win. Majora waited for the bells to start so they could fight.

 

Tobi still remembered walking through the Outrealm Gate like it was yesterday. Dressed in a cloak that concealed his Taguel armor, he had taken a deep breath. There had been no telling what was beyond it. When he stepped through the gate, he appeared to be right back where he started. Everything had seemed identical until he went looking around.

He was still in the halidom of Ylisse, it was just a different version of it. Now, what surprised him more were the things that were identical the world he came from rather than the many differences. He was somewhere near the border now. He wasn't sure where, and he didn't care much either. As he walked, he soon caught sight of someone being mugged down the road by a brute with an axe. The bandit must've hidden in the brush to ambush unsuspecting travellers

"Your money or your life. Choose," the bandit had said.

Tobi gripped his Dragonstone tightly and transformed. In his dragon form, he let out a roar as he flapped his wings. Hearing the roar, the bandit tore his attention from his latest victim on the ground to see Tobi approach. In a panic, he ran. Tobi reverted to his normal form as he landed near the traveller.

"Typical. Show a lone bandit something bigger and scarier than they are, and they turn tail and run. Coward," he said.

"Th-thank you," the traveller said as he righted himself. While he was certain this man could see his face under his cowl, it did conceal Tobi's unordinary ears, a telltale sign of Tobi's mixed heritage.

"It was no trouble," Tobi responded. "Just take care of yourself," he said before continuing on his way. Truth be told, he would've appreciated a little trouble to ease his boredom.

 

Morrighan growled as she cast another elwind, swiftly bringing an end to the bandit? Mercenary? Morrighan didn't know nor did she care to.
" 'lright, yer gonna pay fer dat!" The leader growled, managing his words as he branished his axe at her.
"Really?" Morrighan asked, she changed her tomes and began to chant. The grass around her withered, the dark magic demanding a sacrifice.
The bandit leader screamed as he fell to his knees- his life draining from him as Morrighan's own scrapes and bruises healed. With a final scream, he fell forward and the spell dissipated. She gave a dangerous smile to the remaining bandits.
"Run," she ordered coldly. Her eyes flashed with power.
"Get her!" They screamed and Morrighan raised her hand again, preparing another Nosferatu.
One bandit raised his axe and she ducked, casting the black magic on the lone swordsman. He screamed until Morrighan's concentration was broken by dodging another blow from the axe.
She took a step back.
What Morrighan didn't know was this same group killed a dark mage just two days ago. Before he had met his unfortunate end- he cast a hex to make the ground crumble. Or attempted to but was cut down before he could finish it. The intent was there. It just needed more power which Morrighan inadvertently gave.
The ground crumbled under her feet and Morrighan fell. She clutched her bag tightly as she tried to protect her head. But up was down and down was up. Then everything was black.

When Morrighan awoke. The sun was setting. She groaned and took stock of her health. Her body ached but there was no feeling of broken bones. Morrighan raised a hand to her temple, trying to ease the throbbing. She pulled her hand away to see dark, thick blood. Morrighan stared at it before she sat up. She clutched her head, moaning in pain as she struggled to stand up, only making it a few paces to a tree before collapsing again.

 

The two people who walked up to Majora were female. One seemed to be one of those shape shifting species... what were they called again? Eh, didn't matter. As long as they can fight. The other was human. "So, uh... hey?" He said to them. Before anyone could respond, the bell rang, and the match began. "Well, nevermind greetings. Let's go take on the team on our left first. I call big boy over there." This 'big boy' he was talking about was a giant. Majora was about 4 ft smaller than the giant, but he could fight him. Instead of using his blade, he took the knife he hid in his boot and stabbed the giant in the ankles before he saw Majora. He then did a somersault under the giant, leaped up and sliced his head off with his blade. "Well, that was easier than I thought," he said as he parried the blade of one of the giants teammates. Their blades were caught and he kicked the man, turning to help the shapeshifter, who apparently didn't use their crystal thing yet and had engaged a swordsman. When Majora won the match, he would have to visit the warrior quarters to find out the names of the shapeshifters. For now, he would fight. He sliced off the arm of the assailant and parried the blade in an arc, then stabbed the man in the heart, killing him. "Two down, one to go. Oh, and two other teams."

 

When Morrighan awoke next, it was to low voices and the feeling of a shifting cart.
She took stock of her surroundings- a covered wagon with crates and boxes labeled in Froxi? She blinked at the barely familiar language before spying her bag near her. Morrighan propped herself up, ignoring the pain- she just had to go out and cast a nosfuratu... Or two. She amended as her headache spiked. Morrighan laid back down and dragged her bag over, double checking for everything. She sighed in relief as she accounted for everything, including the rare Regalian tome she had acquired before her forced retirement.
Morrighan held her bag to her chest as she wondered why her captor let her keep it.

 

"How long do you intend to follow me?" Tobi spoke up.

"How did you know? I was so quiet!" the man he had saved replied as they continued walking.

"It was your footfalls. Be as quiet as you want, nothing can travel on a path like this and sneak up on me," Tobi explained. In truth, it was his ears that let him hear his would-be companion. He just didn't know how he would react to what was hidden under his cowl. "Now, would you kindly answer the question?"

"Oh, I was worried that he might come back."

"I guess that's reasonable," Tobi admitted. "We'll be fine so long as he doesn't come back with a Wyrmslayer. I got cut by one once, and the cut didn't heal until I applied a salve." The man winced behind him, not that he could see it.

"Ouch," he breathed.

"Anyway, I guess I'm escorting you to the town up ahead," Tobi stated. Soon, they made their way out of the woods, and the small town came into view. What caught Tobi's attention, however, was a large figure just outside of the town. "...Isn't that a Wyvern?"
