First Concert?

My first concert was of a japanese band called Ali Project. I went when I was 18 in 2008 xD It was fun but even with earplugs in, it killed my ears x.x

 

I've never been to a concert. ;~; I went to a local music festival once but it wasn't really a concert setting.

 

I went to a country concert when I was a little kid, can't remember a thing about it besides how boring I was haha. Nothing against the music. But the first one I went to by my own will was a Theory of a Dead Man, Halestorm, and a local band from Vegas. After that I went to a Bring me the Horizon concert at the same venue a year or so later. Loved the mosh even though I dislocated my wrist haha. After that I went to a couple more of the same genre as BMTH.

 

Matthew Good on one of his Canada-wide tours in 2009. I'm not really one for concerts at all but I really like Matthew Good, and overall it was a fun time. I've been to see him every time he has come to my city since.

 

I saw the most recent Genesis concert, that was pretty special.

 

My first concert was Powerman 5000 back when I was into heavy metal and alt rock, i was 15 I think? My latest concert was more of a festival, i went to Bonnaroo 2011 and i saw so many amazing bands and was even like a foot away from one of my faves, Portugal. The Man. Bonnaroo was a great 4 days but I have never felt dirtier in my life haha

Most of the music I like isn't from here, if the band is even still active, and last time most of these bands had a world tour, I was younger, and... Yeah, never had the opportunity really.

 

Busted. Waaaay back in 2001. Hard to believe it's been 12 years now but I regret nothing and still have the outlandishly priced scarf I bought on that same day. <3

 

You were at Bonnaroo '11? Damn, that was the best 4 days of my life.

Yeah, try to go every year. Lol, you had that paint job done eh? Only girl I remember who had it was some petitie girl with pot leafs, and some other chick who just took her top off in front of me and explained that if girls could walk around topless with paint on, and guys didn't have to wear shirts, it was only fair she could do the same. It made sense to me at the time, lol. What was your favorite act?

 

i wish i could afford to go every year, 2011 was the best. i definitely enjoyed mumford and sons the best. portugal. the man and florence + the machine were also pretty awesome. how bout you, who was your fave?

 

We (My sis, her ex-fiance, and I) mainly went as they are massive fans of Florence, Mumford and Sons, Robert Plant, etc. I'll admit, I'm one of those big white guys who loves rap so I loved seeing Lil Wayne and Eminem. I missed last year, was sick, they went, so I'm hoping to go this year, apparently Wu-Tang Clan and Daft Punk are the rumored headers, love to see them. Who are you hoping to see when you go again?

 

yeah i ove seeing lil wayne and eminem too, i LOVED that eminem played mostly his older stuff, it was GREAT. i'd love it if cloud cult and modest mouse showed up at bonnaroo, i'd definitely go if they were there. i =ve got plans to go to florida this summer so i don't think i'm gonna make it this year but hopefully next year i'll be able to go.

 

The first concert I went to, was 2 years ago. I was with my uncle who wanted to see Kiss. His friend couldn't go so he brought me instead. It was the coolest concert ever xD I like their music so it was a bonus for me. The following week, we went for my sister's birthday and we saw, Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Stone Sour, Halestorm, and 5 others. (it was one of those big bash concerts where they featured 10 bands)

 

I've never been to a concert to see an actual band, but I have seen many orchestras and symphonies perform. The Philadelphia Orchestra was one of my favorites.
