First Pokemon you ever saw in your life?

Hmmm... I had a few toys of the Pokémon characters but I didn't even know what Pokémon were at the time. I had a toy Nidoran, so that was probably the first Pokémon I saw.

 

Gastly. My family had just finished moving from Kansas out to the Northeast, and we had found an apartment. I remember there was this little boy who loved next door and one day, he showed me some Pokémon cards he was playing with. I'd never heard of it before, and the first card he held was Gastly. I thought it was the coolest thing ever, haha. I ended up getting Pokémon Yellow for my ninth birthday after that.

 

Must have been Onix in one of the old Pokémon episodes. I remember seeing Brock, Misty and Ash enter some sort of cave and seeing Onix with them. Later I remember seeing Clefable (some old toy) and then Treecko when playing Emerald for the first time.

 

Charizard or Pikachu, I can't remember to tell the truth. But I'm pretty sure that one of these.

 

Strangely enough, the first Pokémon I saw was Hitmonchan. My brother was watching the anime when I happened to walk by him so I asked what he's watching and he told me he was watching Pokémon. I asked what that thing was called and he said "I don't know, I think it's a Hitmachan? Hitmochon? Hitmonchan?"

 

Probably Pikachu, like almost everyone else here. Although, Scyther, Pidgeotto and Poliwhirl are close contenders, too.

 

More likely than not, Pikachu; but the first I remember is Arcanine. Still have the card, actually.

Pikachu. Saw this commercial on YTV, got the game a couple months later and haven't stopped since.

 

I'm not really sure...but I think it was Slowking. I have this very vague memory of watching a Slowking. Maybe from the movie? That movie was the fist one I watched, I think. I know I started watching the anime after I watched that movie special on CN.That or Charizard from FireRed.

I believe the first Pokémon I ever saw was Meowth of Team Rocket - I just remember changing channels on TV to see what was on - (I didn't know at the time) during the Team Rocket motto, it was the same day I became a Pokémon fan

 

Jigglypuff, I remember distinctly. I was flipping through channels and saw her on one of the stations and watched because I thought she was very cute and I love the color pink. Up until then I had heard friends talk about Pokémon, but I never knew what it was beyond something with little monster like creatures in it.
