    Hey guys,

    Although I have used forums for information over the years I have never actually joined one, but I've decided to give this a go as my love of Pokémon has recently been re-ignited.

    I have first got into Pokémon when the original anime series started in NZ around 1998 (wow, I'm feeling old...). I was hooked and from then on i watched every episode I could find and destroyed many VHS tapes by recording over and over and over. Although my parents never had the money to buy me the games, my best friend had red and then crystal, which he would let me play (but not save). I cant tell you how nerve-wracking and exciting it is trying to get as far through a game as you can, without saving, before you Mum picks you up.

    When I was 13-14, I finally did enough chores and work that I earned a GBA and Pokémon Ruby. This was amazing and I spent hours playing it but other interests came along and that was the last game I bought... until this year.

    While visiting family in the States, I took advantage of the cheaper prices and bought a 3ds and Pokémon Y. Playing it has been the most fun I've had in a video game in a while and now I see that they are remaking Ruby I cant wait until I get the chance to relive my Hoenn life.

    Yo, welcome to LV! You have a really interesting name. :) I'm glad to hear you're able to relive your Ruby nostalgia too! The people on the site are very friendly and helpful, so you shouldn't have a problem meeting people and making friends. :)
