Food Court

I personally didn't like the food court as it seemed somewhat bland to me. It didn't have the elegance that the restaurants back in Kalos had, which is expected, but it seemed more childish. The food court didn't really have appealing Pokémon to fight against imo, and the levels were pretty low. I didn't enjoy the cutscene of unlocking each rank because it was so redundant.

 

Honestly, I don't understand why it was added in other than to make Mauville even more like a mall version of Lumiose (which I dislike). It's just another copy/paste from XY much like the Maison was; granted, they changed most of it from fancy restaurants to fast food, though the sushi place stayed the same.

 

I haven't done this yet, but I think it's pretty neat that they added it in. You could complain that it's too similar to what we had in X and Y, but they could've also replaced the building with a wall. At least it's something, and something is always better as nothing.

 

I didn't even know that this existed. It appears that I'm going to have to go and check it out very soon then. I believe I remember something similar from back in Pokémon Platinum.

 

I tried the battles once, but the levels were pretty low and I haven't gone back. Maybe a bit later if I have a bunch of level 1's to train but there are better places to leve grind in my opinion.

 

I actually went to the sub shop and then totally forgot that the food court existed.

I need to go back there, it was actually pretty fun. I liked the setup, it's a neat idea to fight for your food. Some of those little kids in the foodcourt were pretty intense though. xD

 

The food court seemed a bit awkward, however I like the concept of there being a food court in the pokeverse.
Now the reason I found it awkward was because of how snobby a lot of the trainers were. "Trying to steal my seat, kid, when I just sat down? Realllyyyy?
I mean, its a mall, a public place. Shessh." So in that regard, I feel Nintendo could have pulled it off better than they did. On the other hand, I had fun 'eating' there, so I quite liked it.

 

I've only been there once and it was an accident, so I was sitting there like: NO LET ME PROGRESS GODDAMN IT. I wanna see the rest of this huge mall.

Maybe I'll have to go back to actually get the right experience xD

 

I've never used this place. I found it way more efficient just to use the Elite Four. Way more money, way more points, less time wasted also.

 

All I need to grind is Chansey Secret Bases.
