Everybody has different preferences for food. For this thread, do you prefer your food to be crunchy, or soft? Maybe you like both, but one more than the other?

I love crunchy food. Whether it be bread with a crunchy skin, cucumber or crunchy fruits, I love the sound of the crunch and how it feels in my mouths. Some foods are terrible when crunchy, though, like hot chips.

    Hufff it's difficult to pick!

On the one hand you've got crunchy foods, and crunchy foods I just find incredibly satisfying (I enjoy peanut butter maybe too much) to eat. The noise they generate, and their tough, yet not too tough texture. That said there is a limit to how far a crunch goes without being just tough to chew into (burnt chips/fries seem to enjoy doing this).

Meanwhile soft foods are easy to eat, yet that's not a bad thing. I'm terribly obsessed with noodles for one. The thing about soft foods is there's almost a certain comfort factor to them, like they're not gonna hurt you or do bad to you. Ice cream, noodles, cakes, these foods that are considered comfort foods. Most comfort foods seem to share the quality of softness, and makes them just relaxing and enjoyable.

I think for me soft wins personally, cause I rather enjoy feeling happy from food in a relaxing way as well as the fact that it just works for me better I find. That being said, I still like a good old crunchy food to give a bit of noise to my day!

If I have to choose between crunchy and soft, I choose soft. I don't really like the feeling of crunchiness in my mouth. Also, I find soft food in general easier to chew.

It depends for me, on what food it is. I like the crisp of crackers and chimps, the light crunch of a pastry, but soft stews and soups or noodles I like as well. I guess it really just varies

Soft, easier to eat which means it's quicker to eat (in most cases) and I hate having to stop doing something to go eat, so I eat as quickly as possible.

Potato chips are crunchy and so is chocolate and peanut butter with pieces of peanuts and M&M's and cookies and ice lollies and apples and crusty pizzas. Soggy fries and wet bread are soft.

I love both, but I mean more towards crunchy. I love sushi that's gotta a little bit of a snap to it. Don't get me wrong though, I love me some soft food. I bake bread a lot, and the inside is nice and soft. Though even then there's some hardness from the crust. I guess even the soft foods I like still has some crunch to it

I really love either or. Never together.
I love crunchy because it's just so satisfying to hear it and the texture delightful. ONn the other hand, soft foods are way easier to eat and I mean who wants crunchy mashed potatoes.

pffftt. Why should I care? I like both!
I only care about tastes though, I don't mind eating crunchy or soft things.

I definitely prefer soft food. When I eat crunch food, people around me seem to notice if I'm eating as opposed to me eating something softer. My favorite food is probably chocolate chip cookies, and that can be crunchy or soft. This all being said, I really like food based off of taste, not texture.
