Yeah, pretty self-explanatory. Are there fictional food products from animated shows/films you wish were real so you could try them for real or already-existing food you just had to try because of shows/films that promoted them? Here are a few for me: Spinach Puffs and Baked Pillbug from Emperor's New Groove (Seriously, am I the only one who thought that giant bug looked tasty?) Those weird pizza toppings from the TMNT franchise The naco from Kim Possible Water-Water Meat from One Piece (Heck, anything Sanji cooks up I wanna try as well) Remy's ratatouille from, well, Ratatouille (And you can find a recipe for that one here: www.fictionalfood.net/2011/09/...) Slurm from Futurama (Even if it is made from slug extract) On a side note, that weird alien pizza from that one episode looked strangely appetizing. Scooby Snacks from Scooby Doo (I know these technically exist, but not in the way I wanted) Pretty much anything from Chowder That seafood pasta from The Super Mario Brothers Super Show The forth ice cream flavor from Codename: KND As for real food products that I only took interest in because of these shows: Chili dogs from Sonic Wensleydale cheese from Wallace and Gromit Vanilla Pie from Codename: KND (Well, okay, they didn't show it, but just the mere mention of it actually motivated me to find a recipe and make it from scratch) Gyudon/Karubidon from Kinnikuman Marmalade from Paddington Bear Takoyaki from lord knows how many anime titles Beignet from The Princess and the Frog
I actually remeber in one episode of the Pokémon anime, they meet candice, Ice type gym leader of sinnoh, and she shares an ice cream popsicle that as a spice berry inside. While I'm not a huge spicy fan, the idea of an ice cream that was hot and cold, soothing yet burning, was always strangely appealing. The only other thing I can think of might be the Krabby Patty, but in the end, I'm sure that would be just a burger.
There's an anime called Kuroko no Basuke, and in it they have lemon slices baked in honey. And it just.. looks so tasty, and sounds so delicious! I found some recipes online to make them, and it seems very easy. But alas, I'm still debating on it-- Will anyone else in my household eat them besides me?! I don't want 2 lemons' worth of citric acid on my teeth.. Also @[member="AeroHail"], I totally agree with your post! They always make all the foods look so scrumptious!
There was this episode in Steven Universe called Restaurant Wars, and in that episode Steven made pizza bagels and ketchup-filled french fries. I've eaten mini pizzas before (just use an English muffin for the base), but I want to try the fries. Ketchup? In french fries!? That kid is a genius.
The two that come to mind for me is a Krabby Paddy from Spongebob when I was a kid, and then after watching Naruto I wanted to try ramen (still haven't, should really get on that)
I've attempted to make the Apple Risotto thing from Food Wars, and it's so good. 10/10 would recommend. I also want to try the beef stew what's his face made that had Miso in it. I LOVE stew, but I despise tomatoes. Having a tomatoless stew is a godsend to me. Also, Pokepuffs.
The thinks they show in animes~ I am veg but they look so delicious lobster and all that i want to eat them xD. well they sure have art to make food look tasty there cuz wat i eat in my daily life is so boring
