Here are a list of free Alternatives to some of the popular office suites. Some of these office suites works really good and can replace your current Office suite, such as Open Office. These Suites offer different themes, customizations, styles, programs, File types and storages. All of these programs are useful and they all have their pros and Cons. The List is Below:
    • SSuite Office (Windows & Mac)
    • Apache Open Office (Windows & Mac)
    • Libre Office (Windows, Mac & Linux)
    • Google Drive (Windows, Mac, Android, Ios) [Web based Program]
    • Think Free Online (Online, 1GB free of online storage)
    • Zoho (Online)
    • Lotus Symphony (Windows, Mac)
    • CloudOn (App for Ios)[offers microsoft free of charge and cloud storage from Dropbox]
-will include the pros and cons for each-
~will also include links if staff wants~

    Cloudon:
    pro's:
-Is actually using microsoft's Office, it's just offered free
-Cloud storage you can save files in the cloud with Dropbox, Box & Google Drive
    -Can open any file
    - You have the ability to create, view and edit Word, Excel and Powerpoint files
    - Currently available for free
    - AirPrint will be added in the future
-Has built in File Viewer and Adobe Reader
-Let's you use Adobe Reader through cloud access
-Can Email files in the menu

    Cons
-Only works when connected to the internet
-Opening a file will take a couple of minutes depending on your internet speed
-Can be considered a watered down version of Microsft Office as not all features are available.
    - Ipad's Virtual keyboard takes up valuable screen space while using this program
-There's no save as option; the app autosaves every couple of minutes
-Only supports MS in Landscape Mode
    - Navigating the app's menu will take some getting used to

Special Notes: Loading times and Stability for the app has been improved

I've used Libre Office in the past and I was really happy with it. Open Office works really good, you just have to get familiar with the menu's and options. Also if your coming from Microsoft Office you would have to find equivalent options in Open Office which will take some getting use to.
